I think TNA's roster is way too overcrowded. At first, I thought a 2 hour iMPACT! would solve that but it hasn't and TNA needs to trim the roster really badly. The overcrowded roster actually affects the quality of the product, because TNA needs to cram in everybody on the roster for 1 PPV and some of the matches just feel like clusterfucks because too many people are involved. Here are some guys TNA need to fire to free up some roster space:

Kip James: Old and useless

BG James: Old and useless

Rellik (Thats killer spelled backwards): His gimmick is way over the top, he is decent in the ring but his stupid gimmick ruins everything

Black Reign: Horrible gimmick to go with a terrible wrestler

Elix Skipper: I love Primetime, but if Skipper is going to be used as a jobber then TNA should just fire him and let Primetime go to the indies or maybe even ROH where he can really show off his talent

Shark Boy: Stone Cold Shark Boy is not going to last, so just fire him now.

Rhino: He is a good wrestler, but I think he has fueded with everybody that he can and his time has come and gone

Well, thats pretty much it. What do you guys think?

The first thing they need to do is stop grabbing up the latest WWE rejects and shoving them in the main event. It seems like every time a wrestler leaves WWE TNA is throwing them in with whoever the current champion is. I think the only champions who haven't come from one of the former big two are Styles, Abyss and Joe. TNA really needs to start building and showcasing their home grown talent. But as far as fat trimming goes they can easily lose Scott Steiner. Past his prime and has the mobility of a sofa.

Here's the (male) roster list. People not bolded = should be released.

* Kurt Angle
* Black Reign/Dustin Rhodes (Virgil Runnels III)
* Booker T (Robert Booker Huffman)
* Brother Devon (Devon Hughes)
* Brother Ray (Mark LoMonaco)
* Christian Cage (Jason Reso)
* Consequences Creed (Austin Creed)
* Curry Man (Daniel Covell)
* Johnny Devine (John Parsonage)
* Sonjay Dutt (Retesh Bhalla)
* Hernandez (Shawn Hernandez)
* Homicide (Nelson Erazo)

* Kaz (Franklin Kazarian) New name please!
* Jay Lethal (Jamar Shipman) New gimmick please!

* Relliʞ (John Hugger)
* Rhino (Terry Gerin)
* Robert Roode
* Chris Sabin (Josh Harter)
* Samoa Joe (Nuufolau Joel Seanoa)
* Shark Boy (Dean Roll) Needs to be sacked. Sure, the 3:16 gimmick is great, but it can only go so far, and when it's done, Shark Boy should be too.

* Elix Skipper - ROH please
* Scott Steiner (Scott Rechsteiner) Old
* Sting (Steve Borden) Old
* James Storm (James Black)

* Kurt Angle

This one is fairly obvious. He stays.

* Black Reign/Dustin Rhodes (Virgil Runnels III)

Fired/Fired.

* Booker T (Robert Booker Huffman)

I love Booker, always have. But he's a main event guy, and he's really not being treated like that. Not to mention, TNA just really doesn't need him. Fired.

* Brother Devon (Devon Hughes)
* Brother Ray (Mark LoMonaco)

Still not at the point of retirement yet. Keep 'em.

* Christian Cage (Jason Reso)

Another obvious keeper.

* Consequences Creed (Austin Creed)

Haven't seen him yet, can't say anything.

* Curry Man (Daniel Covell)

Bring back Chris Daniels.

* Johnny Devine (John Parsonage)

Again, not a guy I'm very familiar with.

* Sonjay Dutt (Retesh Bhalla)

Can't stand him. He's a spot monkey, and yeah he's okay at that, but he's just never going anywhere. Fired.

* Hernandez (Shawn Hernandez)
* Homicide (Nelson Erazo)

Keepers.

* Lance Hoyt

You don't need Test, and Test-lite isn't any better. Fired.

* B.G. James (Brian Gerard James)
* Kip James (Monty Sopp)

Fired.

* Kaz (Franklin Kazarian)

Could be hot shit. Needs more character development though. Still a keeper.

* Jay Lethal (Jamar Shipman)

Oh man do I hate his gimmick. This is the kind of thing that's hard to get away from. Still a kepper.

* Matt Morgan

Haven't seen him recently, but he was alright in the WWE. Don't see any reason to lose him.

* Kevin Nash (Manager at the most)

Almost certainly not worth the salary TNA is likely paying him. Fired.

* Jimmy Rave (James Guffey)

Fire Test-lite, do as Roxxi says and get a midcard title and put this guy in that division.

* Rellik(John Hugger)

You have no idea how fired this guy is.

* Rhino (Terry Gerin)

Again, this is a guy who needs a midcard title division at this point. I'd only keep him if that was the plan.

* Robert Roode

Keeper, but I'd make him a bit nastier.

* Chris Sabin (Josh Harter)

Clearly a keeper.

* Samoa Joe (Nuufolau Joel Seanoa)

Duh.

* Shark Boy (Dean Roll)

Back to sea world with you. Fired.

* Alex Shelley (Patrick Martin)

Another obvious keeper.

* Elix Skipper

Never cared for him personally, but I'd probably still keep him.

* Scott Steiner (Scott Rechsteiner)

See ya. Fired.

* Sting (Steve Borden)

He's a nice addition to the roster, but again TNA just doesn't need him. Fired.

* James Storm (James Black)

WWE got the shitty half of this tag team. Keeper.

* A.J. Styles (Allen Jones)

Obvious keeper.

* Super Eric/Eric Young (Jeremy Fritz)

I hate him, but the people like him so I'd probably keep him.

* Tomko (Travis Tomko)

Keeper.

* Petey Williams

Definite keeper.

Kip and BG need to go.

I think Scott still has some years left in him. He's definately not who he used to be, but he has the look, decent mic skills, and is by no means untalented. So he's not as agile as he used to be, he can still do the power game.

I agree with most peoples above stuff and what they have said but i might go on a different angle and fire Rock and Rave thing tag team , they suck either split them up and give them singles gimmicks or just release them. I HATE IT!

the only 2 people that are pretty much useless would be lance hoyt and black reign(unless he lost weight), you need plenty of jobbers so your up and comers or pushed wrestlers dont look weak when guys like angle or joe need guys to squash to help show their dominance.

hat's the deal with people saying Sting needs to go? I bet if he showed up in WWE (Very Doubtufl) You guys would just love it. Sting should stay in TNA til his contract is up, or til he wants to go. He can still have some good fueds and matches with Storm, Roode, Angle, AJ, Tomko, Booker T, Matt Morgan, and others. Sting should say. Only guys I think should get fired are....

RelliK, Shark Boy, Curry Man (Bring Back Daniels), Jimmy Rave (dude is scronny), Kazarian (I can care less), Elix Skipper (maybe), and possibly....I personally love 'em and dotn wanna see both go, but one of the members of VKM, either BG or Kip.

Don't get me wrong I still like Sting in TNA or WWE. But objectively they don't need him and he probably costs alot of money.

Christian Cage

He can stay, but needs some personallity.

Hernandez

LAX is awesome.

Homicide

Definite to stay.

^^ you are a legend! I agree with nearlly everyone except Rhyno! and Sharky lol. I hate sharkboy's stone cold gimmick but when he was jobber Sharkboy I liked all his moves not the stunner! change back to normal sharkboy gimmick or just be normal dean roll and he could/should be X-Div champ. And Rhyno, he has fueded with alot of superstars but there is still Samoa Joe ( I think ), Kurt Angle, Booker T, Robert Roode and even a couple of younger guys like Kaz or others...

For me TNA need to add a second weekly show. Right now they have a decent roster, but their problem is like when they had a one hour show. They are trying to put too much in too little time. They are trying to put the world title in there, the x-division in there, the women in there and the tag teams in there whilst also adding other feuds in there.

WAY TOO MUCH!!!

Solution?

Have Spike give TNA a second show, Xplosion on their old Impact time slot on a Saturday night. Give them one hour and use it to develop the women's division or the x-division or both, and maybe the tag teams or develop the lower end feuds. Its a way TNA can get their roster used to full potential and thye could still have Angle nad co come on. But it would be mainly there to lessen the burden the amount of stuff they are cramming into Impact.
