Okay so with it being Tax season I was discussing with my family tax accountant some deductions I could have had in the last year that I may be missing and we got to talking a bit about certain things such as have I donated anything to charities or like any expenses in finding a job or writing off schooling costs.
I want to be able to do my own taxes next year so I went and looked up some of the common deductibles that people miss when filing their taxes and I found this Yahoo! article under the Finance section, so for anyone who fills out their own taxes or is wanting to in the near future keep these 7 things listed/described in the article below.
-Charitable Contributions (I knew about this one a little bit but the description in the article clarifies it a bit better)
-Tuition and fees
-State and Local Sales Tax
-Earned Income Credit Tax
-Job Searching
-Retirement Saver's
-Gambling Losses (This one interested me the most and pertained to my lifestyle)
