Israel and Palestine are at it yet again. They have been at it ever since Palestine's land was stolen in order to create the country of Israel and tensions have been high ever since especially as Palestine's land keeps reducing each year. Israel killed the leader of Hamas a few days ago and so in response Palestine have been fighting back which has lead to both sides shelling each other. Palestine hit Jerusalem yesterday and in response Israel have called up 75k reservists. As usual the US has backed Israel even though they killed an opposition leader in a foreign country.

There is a chance that eventually going to result in an all out war which will be quite scary because although the US will support Israel a lot of nations will support Palestine and it could turn out very ugly.

Yesterday I was walking through Rundle Mall, it is basically the centre of Adelaide and was amazed to see a peaceful group out supporting Palestine, they were promoting a boycott of companies that sell Israel products. I never expected to see that in Adelaide.

Do you think that this will end in a full scale ground war?

It'll be like the 2006 mini-war. Israel will beat the shit out of Hamas in Gaza, hold the ground for 3 or 4 months, then the United abomiNations will send in a limp dick coalition of peacekeepers, and all will go back to their corners. That's my prediction, anyhoo..

I'm tired of my tax dollars going to two fighting children. Time to pull foreign aid from both (Palestine and Israel) and tell them to just kill each other and get it over with.

Since WWII US has given $115 billion in foreign aid to Israel, in the same period of time it has given $4 billion to Palestine. In fact in the last 12 months alone US gave $3.5 billion to Israel so basically in the past year US has given the same amount to Israel that it has given to Palestine in the past seven decades. Pretty clear which dog US is backing in the fight.

Today Israel has decided to start bombing media offices. The Sky News office was hit by two missiles, would love to know how Israel justify that. I am still amazed that the UN hasn't stepped in and starting enforcing sanctions on Israel. I find the timing of all this suspect, at the end of the month Palestine are coming in front of the UN to be classified as a state rather than an entity. Basically Israel are trying to make them look like the bad guys before the vote. Even so Palestine will be voted in with a clear majority and then Palestine can start to submit to the International Criminal Court to indict Israel of War Crimes.

I hope that Australia comes out and declares that they won't back this show of terrorism by Israel and will actually support Palestine but that will never happen.

The US needs to stop supporting those genocidal douchebags in Israel. What really confuses me is why the US proclaims North Korea as an "Axis of Evil" country because of their nuclear capability and past imperialistic inclinations towards South Korea... yet Israel is even worse than North Korea as far as their intent for conquest goes and they're also a nuclear power.

Though I can't really support the Palestinians either with their terrorists tactics against Israeli civilians.

I don't get the distinction either, in the end it basically comes down to who funds the US political scene and quite a few of them are Jewish and are incredibly powerful. I don't think that the US will ever be able to walk away from Israel. I would love to see how US would respond if someone presented that question about the similarities between Israel and North Korea to them.

As you said the US denounces North Korea for trying to build nuclear weapons when Israel already have nuclear weapons when they aren't supposed to. I am more worried about Israel and nuclear weapons than North Korea especially when Israel have already come out and said that they will bomb Iran if they see Iran building any nuclear weapons.

In the end this conflict is currently in a ceasefire after over a hundred Palestinians died and about half a dozen Israelies died. Hopefully Palestine get recognised by the UN soon and they can get them to enforce the actual boundaries that were agreed upon when Palestine's land was stolen. This picture says it all;
