A recent patent filing suggests that Sony is working on Kinect-like tech, possibly for use with future PlayStation software. As PlayStation Lifestyle reports, a patent was filed back in October 2011 for “real-time three-dimensional interactive environment using a depth sensing deviceâ€. The device also “includes obtaining depth values indicating distances from one or more physical objects in a physical scene to a depth sensing device.†Patents don’t always come to fruition, of course, but this could be something to bear in mind when dreaming up those PS4 theories.
Sony already tried something similar and it looked like a freaking fairy wand, then xbox comes out with something better and they are successful because of it. Now all of a sudden Sony wants it too. Can't people just create original ideas?
