^^^Interesting tought.....

I'd come down on the side of doubt though...

1. He's a reputation for loyalty and so forth. (He'd already left WCW cos they had nothing for him and it was Vince that made him a star.)
2. The streak would have made him even more of a commodity for Bischoff to use and abuse...

Well that is true but imo that was first first really important victory in the streak.

Why? ....Just cos of the title being involved?

Aside from Bret/Austin and how shit Sid was, I can barely remember WM13....

Yes, imo having the WWF title involved was a big deal being as none of his title reigns were all that memorable him winning his second world title and his first true title run in the wwf.

S'cool... Wasn't debating you or anything... Just looking for clarrity. In fact that's a fair point.

IMO beating Diesel @ WM12 was a big, possibly even bigger deal tho'... Nash was a much more pivotal part of the company than Sid at the time (regardless of titles). I certainly expected him to go over Taker...

I forgot about him and Nash at 12. Nash was the big shiz in his early WWf run. That could have been the main event but imo WM12 was remembered for the Ironman match between HBK/Hart. And Wrestlemania 13 imo is the true beginning of the Undertakers Legacy in the WWF/E.

^^^I hear what you're saying, but let's not forget he beat Hogan 1,2,3 within a year of debut (when Hogan was still undoubtedly 'the man')...

Now THAT's how you start a legacy.

Yes, but there was the Ric Flair/Tuesday in Texas ordeal that imo tainted that victory of Mr. WWF. But, I do believe that when they did that Vince had big plans in the making for Good Ol' Mark Calloway.

The way it played out though... When Hogan pinned Taker he showed he needed to cheat to beat him. In comparrison Taker looked better cos it was Flair that screwed Hogan.... As per how they initially portrayed Taker there's no way he would have reached for a chair.

Without a doubt.... The last time they'd put a guy over Hogan was Warrior who, as we know, just 3 months prior to Taker going over @ SSeries91 had held Vince up for money moments before the SSlam91 ME... Ya gotta figure they must have been pretty high on the gimmick to risk damaging Hogan's stock again so soon... Especially on another relative noob.

Yes, and I honestly do think that the Warrior is partly responsible for Undertaker's success. They needed a big over the top type of character to compliment Hogan on the top of the WWF in the early 90's.
