Injured UFC vet Matt Grice steadily recovering, not ruling out UFC return

UFC veteran Matt Grice continues making steady and amazing progress after a serious accident that doctors initially thought he wouldn’t survive.

In fact, the recovery has been going so well that Grice isn’t completely ruling out a return to the UFC octagon, KWTV in Oklahoma City reports.

Grice’s focus, though, remains on his recovery after a violent car accident on Sept. 8. Grice, who earned Fight of the Year consideration for his thrilling UFC 157 bout with featherweight Dennis Bermudez earlier in the year, was rear-ended while at a stoplight.

The fighter, who also serves as an Oklahoma City police officer, suffered a traumatic brain injury and went in to surgery. After awakening from a monthlong coma, the 32-year-old began to regain his memory.
