While staying at an isolated island resort, James (Alexander Skarsgård) and Em (Cleopatra Coleman) are enjoying a perfect vacation of pristine beaches, exceptional staff, and soaking up the sun. But guided by the seductive and mysterious Gabi (Mia Goth), they venture outside the resort grounds and find themselves in a culture filled with violence, hedonism, and untold horror. A tragic accident leaves them facing a zero tolerance policy for crime: either you’ll be executed, or, if you’re rich enough to afford it, you can watch yourself die instead.​

After X and Pearl, I’ll watch anything that has Mia Goth in it. Plus, this is directed by Brandon Cronenberg (David Cronenberg’s son) and his movie Possessor is super good.

Goth and Skarsgård together in a Film how can not be behind those two in any Film they choose to take on. It comes out too 3 Days before my Birthday I won't forget this Film for sure.

Was hoping for a Deadpool vs Thanos movie when I saw the title

This was insane. You never really know where it's going to go next, it keeps you on your toes the entire way through. Brandon Cronenberg really nails that surreal feeling. Mia Goth was amazing as usual, she never feels the same in any movie that I've seen so far, I'm just consistently impressed with her versatility as an actress. Found her character to be really interesting in this, unhinged, manipulative, seductive. She nails it. Alexander Skarsgard really impressed me too. Especially his transformation throughout the movie, it's not even like the same character by the end. Visuals were one of the biggest stand-outs for me, some of the more trippier scenes were really well shot.

I'm glad the plot wasn't too confusing (which was a worry for me) and you get it the further it goes on and more is explained, even though there's definitely mindfuck moments still as expected. Ending definitely got me thinking about what comes next for Skarsgard's character but like any normality feels gone.
