- A lot of people in TNA, including Jeff Jarrett, wants to move TNA's iMPACT to Monday nights to compete with WWE's RAW. If Spike TV were to go with this idea, TNA would air iMPACT live every other Monday night, head-to-head with RAW. They would likely stick with the current taping format by holding tapings for the bi-weekly pre-taped shows on Tuesday nights.

Jeff Jarrett is said to be big on the idea of bringing back the buzz that was the Monday Night Wars and having TNA compete with RAW. While some are in support of this move, there are also a lot of people in the company who want to see iMPACT stay where it is at, for now.

--------------

LOL, it is waaaaaay to early to be even considering making the move to monday nights right now. Remember last time it happened, TNA got a terrible .6 rating, so they need to wait at least another 2 or 3 years before they can move to Monday Nights and recreate the monday night wars. And besides, a head to head with RAW would suck if iMPACT! is still going to be taped

EDIT: I got this from impactwrestling.com

If TNA thinks IMPACT! can compete with Raw as of right now, they're nuts. TNA would be out of business in about a year. Don't you think that the casual wrestling fan would rather have something to watch on thursdays? I doubt that many people will choose IMPACT! over Raw as compared to those who like Raw and happen to watch IMPACT! because it's something different or just simply more wrestling on a different night.

Not to mention, with the tapings.....how great would it be for JR and The King to read the results of IMPACT! ala WCW (obviously not gonna happen since Vince pretends TNA doesn't exist, but would be very funny.)

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA, this would be the worst idea in the history of TNA, maybe wrestling. TNA should only be going head to with AM Raw or ECW, not Raw. I mean let's face it it even the most hardcore TNA fans still watch Raw every single week. Most of those would probably watch iMAPCT if it was head to head with Raw, but the rest of the fans that watch TNA are more than likely WWE fans that just watch it because they like wrestling so they'd watch Raw. Personally I don't think Raw's rating would go up, but overall TNA's rating would drop drastically. However that being said I do understand why TNA might want to think about doing this. They've been struggling with ratings lately and if they continue at the pace they're going they might not last through sometime next year. So sometimes you need to take a risk and hope it works. My guess is though that this is bs and won't happen just like the live taping in March.

In all seriusness, TNA needs a change. If they keep getting 1.1 for the next year, then I don't know if they would survive.

I love TNA, but no, this would not work. Smackdown I guess I could see, but RAW, hell no. At the very least iMPACT! needs to go live first.

There is no way TNA can compete with oing head to head with RAW, let alone live! iMPACT is already messy and sloppy and it's pre-recorded, going live at the same time as RAW would absolutely kill TNA!

TNA have only just started to constantly beat ECW in the ratings if I'm correct so trying to compete with Raw is a stupid move from them. I'd try and challenge SD! before even thinking about challenging Raw, at least with SD! it's taped Vs taped but TNA would still lose prolly.

I don't think its a horrible idea. I would bet they would get at least their 1.1 on monday, and probably higher. They slowly have to try and steal wwe fans. They just have to go in, understanding its a slow process. But the way raw is now, whats their to look forward to in 2008. At least TNA is trying to put on a solid show. Good wrestling, some gimmick matches, some entertainment.

Moving it against ECW wouldn't be bad, although i dont see them gaining much more ratings.

This will result in one thing.. Vince will take over that iMPACT exactly in the same manner he took WCW back in 2001.

Shane O Mac will be the head of TNA, both commentators will be fired, that pussy announcer will be in the announce table instead.
Unifying TNA with ECW and will be named as ECNA title.

This will be good for Survivor Series PPV.
