TNA Impact on Thursday, August 16 rebounded to a 1.06 rating following a poor 0.90 rating last week against the final Thursday of the Olympics.
The overall rating was the second-highest of the live summer run, trailing a 1.09 on July 26 the day before the Olympics started.
Impact averaged 1.46 million viewers, up 16 percent from 1.21 million viewers last week. Viewership fell in-between the summer average and pre-summer 2012 average.
On cable TV Thursday night, Impact ranked #40 in overall viewers, #14 among males 18-34, and #15 among males 18-49. Impact rebounded from last week's poor showing in the key male demographics, but remained within the usual range without showing upward movement heading into the tough fall season.
So maybe it was the Olympics that was holding them down. Will be more clear the next two weeks, since next week Hogan comes back and lets how many care about that, and the week after that will show how people will still want to watch it with Hogan around. Still, glad to see the ratings went up.
