Hello everyone to Nate757’s TNA Impact Review.
TNA starts with me on a trip to Movie Scene taking back Survivor Series 2003 and No Mercy 2000 so they won’t be late. Anyways I get home and turn the TV on to see AJ fighting some black dude who I thought was Human Tornado but then thought about Creed and Tenay said it was Creed. Anyways back to the match and AJ nails a Pele out of nowhere. A few moves later and AJ hit’s the Clash for the win.
Winner: AJ Styles
Match Rating: **½* (for what I saw)
Comments: Good match. I see what people see in Creed.
After the match JB is out with a possible post-match interview but Jeremy is just telling AJ that Kurt is waiting for Karen to arrive. AJ rushes to the back.
Next I don’t really know what happened cause my mom made me take my car to the house and then walk back to my friend house. CAN YOU EXPLAIN THAT ONE?
Anyways I come back and see Christian come off the top with a splash. Some more action and then Johnny Devine comes out with a kendo stick. He misses and then gets a kendo stick to the throat move. Bubba grabs the Kendo stick, gets Dqed and then calls for D-von. Tomko and D-con bring out a glass table. They put it in the ring and Christian goes through it. The medic is their and he gets a towel out of nowhere that already has blood spots on it. Anyways Christian’s condition will be updated next week.
Winner: Christian by DQ
Match Rating” (again for what I saw) **
Comments: Once again TNA has post-match action over the in-ring action.
COMMERCIAL (Time for the NBA Draft)
They show a crowd shot and I see the WWE spinning title. Was XBA in the audience?
Backstage we see Kevin Nash and he is with JB. God, that man is everywhere. But Nash is watching tapes of Booker. Joe comes in and slaps Nash’s knee and makes a not-so funny joke. Nash talks about head games as I think if I could get some head from…well never mind all that.
Time for the 25,000 contest. But first….\
NBA DRAFT or Commercial
Back and we see Raisha pick some really hot girl out of the audience. I was looking for a thong shot but didn’t get it. Awesome dominates the hell out of the girl. Awesome Bomb to win the match. During the match, Taylor and Kong get into it.
Winner: Awesome Kong
Match Rating: *½*
Comments: Finally something is coming of these challenges.
After the match Taylor gets into the ring. Kong and Taylor fight and security come out with Cornette. Cornette talks to Taylor and we her some faint talking. Something about facing Raisha and then facing Kong.
NBA DRAFT TIME
They aired a clip focusing on Angelina Love’s start in professional wrestling. Gail Kim called Love a young, sweet girl. Love stayed in character and said Gail never helped her out. Love was with TNA in the Asylum days before going back to Border City
Time for the World X Cup but first Kurt Angle’s look alike comes out and he yells at AJ about attacking him last week. He baits AJ into coming to the ring. Kurt and the Beautiful people paper bag Karen in the back. Something to get Kurt exposure without wrestling.
We see Booker’s locker room door and I am so excited for the
NBA DRAFT or Commercial.
We see X Cup action as both the teams not wrestling come out. Why is Curryman on Team TNA when he billed from Japan. What the Hell is up with that?
Match starts with that skinny Japanese dude running really fast. Japanese people dominate then the identity crisis dude (Ultimo Guerrero) gets the tag and Mexico get the advantage. Japan dudes hit a synchronized plancha which was pretty cool. Anyways Mexico wins after a sweet looking moonsault from the Ultimate Warrior face-painted dude.
Winner: Team Mexico
Match Rating: ***
Comments: Good Job on some good X-division action. But someone explain that Curry Man thing.
Lethal is getting interviewed by, guess who….you guessed it, JB. Lethal cuts a good promo and SoCalBoobs I mean Val tells Lethal that she wants to wait. Lethal takes the glasses off and speaks in his normal voice saying that he is ready to get married tomorrow. SoCalVal leaves and Lethal takes off the headband.
Sonjay Dutt comes out with four little kids called the “Gur-etes” or something like that. They collect money. Dutt wants SoCal freed. He dances, SoCal comes out. Lethal rushes out like Macho Man but hey that’s his gimmick. Anyways Lethal fights Dutt and tries the “Patented” flying elbow but Dutt gets out of the way.
Backstage we see the unvealing of Booker’s locker room. JB is there and he must take his shoes off. JB eats some sushi and feels the velvet couch. Everything is real according to Booker. Booker sits down and JB does as well. Booker says that he finally got the locker room he deserved. He says Rating have gone up to him. WRONG. He says Buy Rates have gone up. Once again, WRONG. Booker plugs his match. Now can you dig that, Sucka.
NBA DRAFT TIME
Rough Cut on how Matt Morgan got in the business.
We see the man of the show, JB and he is interviewing Kurt Angle. What Kurt is doing to Karen is “ridiculous” and embarrassing to Kurt according to JB and Tomko. BTW, Tomko’s expressions are freakin priceless. Anyways, Team 3D comes in and they promise some blind dates with nines and tens and not ones and twos like JB. Kurt doesn’t want fat chicks. Kurt wants to know what is in it for Team 3D. I know what is in for the TNA fans…FUNNY ASS SEGEMENTS next week.
Bimbo Brawl and Moose and ODB brawl. Classic street fight. ODB hits Moose with a shovel twice and then pins her but she kicks out. Double arm DDT after a PHAILED high-risk move for the win for Moose.
Winner: Moose
Rating: **¾*
Comments: Reason that the knockouts are the best thing about TNA.
Plug for Nash vs. Booker and then we go to the
NBA DRAFT
Back from that and we get the Main Event. They fight for a little bit, Joe comes out and then
NBA DRAFT
Back from break and Nash is dominate. Booker gets a steel chair and hits Nash a couple of times. Joe freaks out and comes in and attacks Booker. He goes for a Side Kick and hits Nash. Booker gets the win. Nash and Joe push each other but we get security to break it up. Booker T is loving this.
Winner: Booker T
Match Rating: ***
Comments: Nice build to Nash vs. Joe at BFG IV and a title drop at Victory Road.
Final Thoughts: Wow, I have not watched Impact in a while and I am gladded I missed out on the comedy Impact and got to see this one. Great build to the PPV and some good matches. The glass table spot was freaking sick
Hopefully I will be able to watch Impact next week and give you another review
