So my idea is pretty simple and one I think could work well for him. I say you keep Austin Theory on the main roster and you pair him to be underling/protégé for The Miz. I think this works perfect with Miz/Gargano/Lumis storyline and gives Theory a chance to stay on the midcard/Upper card. I think Miz/Theory could be a really nice pairing especially if they eventually do separate tag titles again and what not. I could even see them doing a match down the line too maybe something along lines of Miz/Theory vs. Cena/Paul (maybe summerslam next year?) I do think Theory is talented and it would give him a somewhat different gimmick to drop the selfish stuff learn to smarten up like Miz (or at least be conniving.) What do you guys think?

Seems kinda pointless. Tearing him down from being the protégé of the owner of the company just to make him the protégé of The Miz doesn't really scream forward progress to me.

But step above from losing mitb and cashing in on US Championship?

Because this strategy has worked so well for Alex Riley, Damien Sandow, Curtis Axel, Bo Dallas, John Morrison, Ciampa, Truth, Big Show who have all massively succeeded after being Miz’s lackeys.

Vince McMahon would fucking love you.

I think it makes more sense to have him be this failure.

Has he had an actual match with Roman?

He attempted on roman twice failed with seth. Then comes back beats Roman clean the right way. Turn him babyface learning that shortcuts aren't the way to go having things handed to him actually hurt him and when he dug down and focused he did it without all the other stuff.

I don't think it happens at mania though, unless he were to win the rumble but I don't see it.

Think it'd be a hell of a babyface turn. Hand picked by Vince that fails, MITB fails. Roman agrees to the match cause whose this guy he's a failure can't even cash in when Roman is down and out, "Hell Logan Paul had a better chance at beating me". Then against all odds and because the bloodline didn't take him seriously leaving Roman alone he wins.

And then he sprouts wings and flies to heaven….equally as likely

Honestly, keep Austin where he's at. There isn't a single person that thought he'd beat Roman or thinks he should have. Was it the best idea to have him cash him on the US and lose, no. But he also shouldn't have beat Seth. Frankly, he should have never won the MITB, was it as bad of a move as when Otis won it, hell no, but he just isn't there yet. But Austin is fine, his "push" reminds me of when they did it to Drew when he first arrived. And we all know he floundered then. I see Austin doing the same thing unless what happened, happened. Now his character can do what it needs to.

Theory acknowledged that it was not possible for him to beat Roman Reigns and that is why he went after United States Champion Seth Rollins last week. Dolph Ziggler appeared and said he tried to help Theory but Theory clapped back and siad that he is done being called a protege or "the youngest" at anything.

And it begins

I don’t think this necessarily means he has to go on a god push and be the one to beat Roman. I think the idea of him learning the error of his ways and growing and then coming back for the US title - the title he failed to win - would be a perfectly fine redemption arc in the medium turn. Have him build up to face Seth again at WM and win it there legitimately.

To be fair Sandow was over as hell when he broke away from Miz.
