not gonna post all the tweets atm as this thread encapsulates everything

This all started with Kota's first published this tweet. (Further translations from golden_kuma)

Ibushi: "I'll expose all about the former cheaters-gun (already returned) and the sexually harrasing bosses, from the company president's lies to his unreasonable power harrasments this time Get prepared for this❗ ToSpo and TV Asahi too. I don't care~"

-- Kota's Second Tweet translated.

Context: Ibushi's LINE chat with Kikuchi-san (presumably a member of NJPW officials)

Kikuchi: "Maybe we should end your contract with NJPW."

Ibushi: "If I'm told so from the NJPW side, I can't complain. I'll get things settled. It's fine if you just fire me."

Kikuchi: "I don't want to do that. What happened to you?"

Ibushi: "There's no reason whatsoever. I have no excuse either and don't know why but I can't align with the company's rules. If this atmosphere is too weird, then it can be quick, so you can cut me with no remorse."

--

Kota's third tweet translated.

Ibushi: "As we discussed, it turned out that what's black is still black. I'm not a robot. Kikuchi stinked since he wanted me to return before Wrestle Kingdom if I was healed up. I endured it tho."

--

Kota's fourth tweet translated.

Ibushi: "You know what is going on behind the scenes if you've been in the business for no less than 18 years. I don't think it is a negative thing, I take it rather positively. I'm very very calm. Thanks for your concern."

--

Kota's fifth tweet translated.

Kikuchi: "Don't you think it's wrong to make an appearance (without permission)? Maybe we should talk in the office."

Ibushi: "You came at me to end the contract so I thought that was it. I'd accept it. I don't think it changes if we talked."

Kikuchi: "It looks like you can't open a conversation by yourself so that you caused problems and make it other guys' fault to leave the company. I mean, you have extra reasons or issues other than that, don't you?"

Ibushi: "Nothing at all!"

Kikuchi: "Because if you think you've done nothing wrong, and if suddenly a LINE message about ending your contract comes, wouldn't you ask "did I do anything wrong?"

Ibushi: "I didn't. I didn't think it was a problem so sorry about that. I'll talk to the higher-ups." (fin.)

Sounds like he's accusing them of bringing/forcing him back to soon? Hard with all the translations

Because translating Japanese, or most foreign languages, to English is quite hard given how English is constructed.

I have been reading the thing, and even two other people have properly translated some of the lines to make more sense. As well a few wrestlers who know Kota have been sub-tweeting about this so. I have no clue what exactly is going on whether it be Kota just losing his mind, the man is just broke/had an anxiety attack, or what. Whatever his case maybe I hope he gets help or something. Also, I am curious as to what he exactly means by the sexual harassment, and the cheaters-gun is a reference to Suzuki-gun, I want to say, and is a reference to Taichi's cheating scandal as well as Taka Michinoku's, which lead to him being kicked out of 2AW and forced him to create JTO.

Post Edit: This isn't the first time he has done something like this, if I remember right, he did something similar in DDT

I am not 100% sure as it was some time, and it was here said aka what people gathered from wrestlers who work/ed at DDT. The gist of it was that Kota was known to be quite wild in the locker room and do all kinds of stupid shit there, which caused him to get into trouble several times with the higher ups. And when he recovered from his injury there, he was schleued to return back to wrestling, but he, Kota, kept pushing it off and all, which the DDT higher ups thought it was because he wanted to make sure he was 100% better. When really he was off fliming dumb stunts for a tv show, I think, and then him and DDT higher ups got into and he left.

Then he worked for DDT again as he was working with New Japan and then quit both places due to stress of working two schiuledes, which is a valid reasoning. Then he began freelancing, which he liked since he could wrestle and do dumb shit on the side and there you go. Plus, I have heard he is quite hard to work with bot inside and outside of the ring.

So, the guy has a history of doing this type of stuff and whether it is legit or not is anyone's guess. And again, this is here say, so don't take it as 100 percent fact. As this is just things i have heard of from spenidng a lot of time on wrestling sites, forums, and Japanese sites.

Also, the other interesting thing to think about is if Kota is let go by New Japan and they blackball him and he goes to AEW, then how will that affect New Japan's relationship with AEW?

Yes, as I said he would whether be doing Jackass type stunts then wrestling, which is fine, but still they even picked you to be the next Tiger Mask, a Japanese icon in wrestling, anime, and manga aka the Trinty of Weebdom. I think his biggest problem is that he was/is a spoiled rich kid and never got to do anything crazy and now that he can he will and all.

yeah that would put TK/AEW in a huge pickle. risk pissing off NJPW or risk pissing off one of the three guys that created your company and is your ace. wouldnt want to be in his shoes if this goes down because ppl will be mad no matter what.

on a side note: It's pretty weird for that NJPW dude to be like "oh so we say we might want to close your contract and you dont ask why" after Kota was basically like lol ok go for it, ill live. Dude does have balls of steel ill give him that, no just call their bluff deadass

Will also say that, as an aside, Japanese work culture is one of the most toxics on the planet and I will not blame Ibushi if he's simply sick of their bullshit

edit: of g8 nations , to be more clear. obviously it's not quite 3rd world slave labour

Right so like no one really wins in away and the fans get fucked in the end so.

Yeah, like I said I have always found Kota interesting. He believes he will live to 150 and still wrestling, he doesn't trust books, he locks himself out of his own hotel and more. He has no hobbies nor understands why people have them. The guy is just interesting, and I can't help to be intrigued by time every time.

Oh hell yeah. Japanese work culture is the definition of toxic to a t. There is a documentary on YouTube called "The Toxicity of Japan" I think, and it talks about their work culture and it is just...sad, depressing, toxic, and honestly I get why suicide is the number one killer.

He truly is an enigma.

On Japan, yeah, its sad a.f . It's why it's, for me, such a conflicting thing for me to love Japan. On one side, they art it comes up with and their humor is wonderful , I love it. On the other side theres the anti gay, ultra conservative , xenophobic, women hating very real culture thats very very scary. its also what makes them so resilient. A truly two sided blade, to use one of their preferred artifacts.

He truly is.

And it is conflicting, but at least you acknowledge the problems it has. I do like Japan from the culture to music to wrestling to everything in between, but I also see the ugliness of it from the toxic work culture to idol culture to everything in between as well, so I get it. Though times are changing so some things aren't as bad, but still. Like not to steer the convo away, but my English teacher when I was learning the language asked, "What did I like about America?" and I said, "How can I like a country that makes fun of my accent, culture, and so many problems and so forth?" And she said "you have to take the bad with the good" and afterwards that phrase has stuck with me and embodies my feelings for Japan or even my homeland of Russia.
