I assume the concept is you pick celebs to follow? and when they post updates, you see it? Kinda like a facebook status wall, but with celebs.
I just hate how everyone tweets what they do all the time, and then twitter drama, people talking about others. Idk, just seems like a bit much to me.

It pretty much is what it sounds like. Basically like all other social networking sites. Buy with celebs/athletes etc. I am not saying like it's the greatest thing to ever grace the internet. But it's a good way to kill some time (especially if you are waiting for something to load/save/download). Also, during like during sports games, a lot of the ESPN analysts and stuff will basically give you play by play, kinda neat because they don't have any restrictions (aside from the character limit)I am with you on all the twitter drama though, it's stupid... But that goes with the social network platform.
It's the latest fad, much like myspace or facebook. In time, people will grow bored of it and latch onto another piece of meaningless technology. I don't hate it so much as I find it completely useless. You don't need to know what boring shit I'm up to in a silly little two sentence fragment and I sure as hell don't want to know what you're doing.
I look at it the same way, I find the site fun currently, but the same could be said about MySpace and facebook (and in reality they all are turning into just a big status updating site. In 2-3 years I am sure there will be another social networking site that everyone is all wet over. But until then Twitter is what is the 'in' thing to do.
I think Twitter, Facebook, and repetitive reality TV shows are a complete waste of time. They are just distractions from the real problems in the world and serve as nothing more than a lethal dose of crap that is just dumbing down society so all people will do is sit in front of their TV or computer screen and waste their live away with meaningless nonsense that no one gives a shit about due to it being bullshit.
You said it best. Basically all of these social network technological advantages we have for us to use (facebook, twitter, myspace, etc) are simply ruining us psychologically. Twitter sucks, its a shortcut to facebook if you don't like getting all into it and just want to post a sentence about your life every 10 mins. Sure, its fun to roam around for a while to see your favorite sports hero or celebrity are doing, but its really annoying and a waste of space. It's just a fad, it'll blow over.

Twitter is just Twitter. Some people are into things like Facebook, Twitter, and Myspace, and whatever else there is nowadays. Personally, I have twitter and Myspace. If you don't like it, its just your opinion. Some people don't like it because its confusing and a bit much. They can learn or not. They don't have to. All I gotta say.
