Everyone has been saying that Kurt Angle is washed-up and doesn't deserve to be the top dog, not even in TNA. Well, after watching No Surrender, I think we all have to eat crow.

The tag team match wasn't all that phenominal, but it definately took some stamina out of Angle, and then, to put on two MORE matches, the first at about fifteen minutes and the second at about twenty, in the same night, with both of those matches being match of the week candidates (oh, and need I point out that, in the third match, he did a fucking MOONSAULT), it definately takes a special kind of athlete to do that.

I guess Angle still has it in him.

I never said Kurt Angle didn't have ring ability, we all know he's good in the ring, my quibble was with TNA making him the whole damn show.

Um... who says that? They are Blue then. Angle is still the shit, he just needs a break from the ring like what Jericho did, which hopefully he takes soon. I'd be curious to see him do a stint in ROH later on too.

Well, looking at last Sunday, he definately deserves it.

That moonsault was huge!

and Angle did amazingly at No Surrender to put on 3 matches and have the right physicality and ring-psychology for each one.

Sure Kurt may have dominated TNA for the last month or so, but dammit it's good to see it paying off

I will concede that he put on a hell of an overall peformance at NS, but my original opinion about him still remains. I feel that he should be AROUND the main event, but certainly not the entire show. He still "does the job" I suppose, but his quality has really deteriorated the past few years IMO.

For the record...

Everyone has said Angle is the best wrestler in the world, well one of them, and never said he was losing his touch, check your sources.

Kurt Angle is 39 years old. No matter if hes washed up or not, hes 39 years old. Not the age, you want your franchise wrestler to be. I've always thoughts 28-33 should be a wrestlers prime years. Kurt Angle is still good, but not great like he used to be. I think thats what they mean. Is he washed up, no. But he is on the downside of his career. Myself personally wasn't that impressed with Angle at No surrender. One match Angle was in the ring for a like minute, so that doesnt even count. The other Angle was in control most of the match. So the match vs lethal wasn't exactly that tiring. Then wrestling a bigger guy like abyss, the match wasnt too fast paced. I am looking forward to ANgle vs Sting though. I still think they should have held off Joe vs Angle for BFG.
