I always disliked Cody and still do.

Psyched for AEW.
Glad Cody won’t be their first Champion.
Neva liked him, Neva will.
You would think with all the years he has had in this business his in ring flow would be more polished. Dude is too clunky in the ring. He is not bad, but I would expect more polish and shine from this dude.

Dude might be the best storyteller in the business right now.. look at All In and Double or Nothing for example.

He can only tell a good story with a relative involved. He hardly has torn it up since his wwe departure

I think his biggest gift he's given is consistency and the ability to be a character/cut promos and market himself. However, he's had great matches, just he's not the person to make everyone gawk and awe every match. Some of it comes down to the right opponent, but he also can do respectable and carry his part of the match. Like, he's hardly clunky and he's smooth with his moves. However, someone who plays a strong strong character still has a place in a company and even can be a main eventer (even if it is for only one run) if you can get people invested in your storylines.

Personally...I think Cody Rhodes should be given a medal.

Not only is he a great worker/in-ring storyteller...but he was
instrumental in giving all wrestling fans a sorely needed
alternative to the "Sport Entertainment Drivel" shat out by
the WWE week after week.

Also his wife is hot.

It's funny this could've been avoided if Vince let Cody be Cody to honor his father instead of Stardust
