How You'd Like The Brand Split to Look

With the news out that we're having a brand split after nearly 5 years, how would you like your brand split to look like roster wise? I really do hope we have a distinctive stage set for SmackDown but that's obviously asking for too much.


Anyways, here's how I'd like the brands to look personally.

I don't remember much of the roster, but yeah. Reason Cena being on SmackDown is because I feel like they really want to test how Reigns does. And people will always tune in for Rollins.

Didn't include any tag teams as I think they should be able to show up on both shows.

Ambrose and Zayn can be Smackdown's top faces, opposing Owens and Joe.

Raw has most of the big hitters because I can't see Cena not being U.S Champ, and that should be Raw's title. And Orton will probably politic to stay on Raw. Styles and Rollins could easily be Raw's top faces, going against Roman and Finn.

SmackDown should be the place to go for a good wrestling show. RAW should be the place to go for some of the bigger stars. SmackDown can make it's star, and it will be virtually equal.

I only plan on watching whichever show Seth Rollins is on, hopefully it's RAW with Reigns and Cena. Kick the annoying divas to Smackdown with their ugly championship so i don't have to see them anymore.. Maybe bring back the Cruiserweight division since they're doing a lot with that now.

RAW and Smackdown should both be 2 hours. If they give RAW 3 hours then they're already picking favorites. As for the rosters they should keep most of the main event guys on RAW such as Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns. Give Smackdown more guys like Ziggler and Tyler. Smackdown will need a big name to lead them and John Cena seems great for that role (Maybe Randy Orton) and I think Smackdown would do great with a title just for that show since we need to build new stars and can they really get over as just being the IC champion?

A good idea is keeping the whole women's division Raw exclusive if Raw will be a 3 hour show. The US and Intercontinental titles should be brand exclusive belts while the Tag Team and World Heavyweight titles appear on both shows, however each champion of those will have an assigned brand

Looks like Cena might be on SmackDown! & Reigns on RAW so 2/2? (Until the draft happens)

Honestly everyone should have seen this coming regardless of prediction or not. Cena is getting old and they need a new face of the company. Might as well build Reigns around the main show.

I'm hoping for a separate set aswell, but like you stated that might be asking for too much.

Although do you think we could have the return of red ropes for raw and blue for smackdown?

I just really hope they separate them completely again. As for roster wise, I don't know who I'd have where. I'd be happy just as long as they do it right.

I've seen alot of talk about allowing tag teams to cross brands, and the champion to cross brands. but I will be mad if that's the case. And how would they work the tag division? Bring a few more up from nxt like American Alpha and The Revival? Then have a mix of a small handful on each show and bring a 2nd title?
All in all I'm very intrigued at how this will all play out and I'm hoping for the very best for this

Put the vanilla midgets and jabronis on Smackdown so smarks have a place to complain and/or fap.

Put the real stars like Cena and Reigns on the Raw.

It's just a Meltzer report so don't take it as gospel just yet.

But the plan discussed backstage is to have Cena on Smackdown in a sort of Undertaker style role to allow guys like Roman to anchor RAW.

That's how I always thought it should work. Hell, that's how I'm setting up my 2K16 Universe (though I'm using NXT instead of SmackDown).
