How Will HBK Respond?

So I'm sitting here thinking about the WWE post-mania, and the only thought crossing my mind is "Where is HBK?" And not because I don't know... it's obvious he's taking time off to give himself a well-earned rest... but from a fan perspective, it's almost to the point that Shawn is "forgotten" about on the card. People aren't chanting "WE WANT HBK!"

Anyways, my wondering has introduced me to a fork in the road, and I'm trying to see down these paths of how HBK will return. One would be inclined to believe they'd let him speak on the match at WrestleMania; but he could take several different routes. He could be this matured veteran and give all his respect to Undertaker and call him the better man. He could show hints at HBK and the Showstopper, and ask Undertaker for one more match. That's only talking though.

He could always show up at Smackdown or at a Taker match at a PPV and attack Taker. But I think we can rule that one out already.

He could come out and talk of his career opening the chances for a younger Superstar (The Miz or Matt Hardy please!?) to come out and challenge him to boost their heat a bit. If anyone can get these guys over as established heels, it's HBK.

He could come out and start a feud with someone at the top of the card (not quite Sting's early MEM style, but something like that) talking about how they don't respect the business or the title. His possible feud with Orton for the title could be interesting this time around (leaving the Legacy/McMahon-Helmsley feud out of it). Have HBK go at it alone though, no aid from MVP or anyone. Have him constantly be put in matches with Ted and Cody leading up to his PPV match with Orton (he could really boost Ted and Cody up the ladder in the WWE).

Countless possibilities for Shawn's return. Where do you think he goes with it? Where would you like him to go with it?

I definately don't see anything happenign with Taker. I could see him feuding with Miz. I really could. Shawn is at the point in his career where he can put guys over, without looking bad, but at the same time, he shouldn't put over pieces of crap. Miz seems liek a guy WWE has plans for, so it'd be a good feud. Depending on how Kennedy returns, we could also see them feud. If Kennedy returns heel, they could fued again.
Another possibility, which I'm getting fromt he recent rumours, is that he'll team up with Triple H, and feud with Legacy. I wouldn't have a problem with that at all. It'd freshen up HHH/Legacy, and give Shawn something to do ina high profile feud as well. That seems most likely to me.

I agree with Mike, a HHH/HBK feud with Legacy would be good to see........ and is the only should be feud for HBK at the moment.

I dunno why but on raw soon why can i see HHH/HBK Vs Orton/ Batista? A good way to bring hbk back into it. Tagging up with hhh so he aint doing all of the work on his knees.

Huh i can see where your going with triple H fued but idk wat u mean by Can you not tell he attacked DiBiase? but i think HBK will come back with a bang idk who he's fueding with could be Triple h but i doubt its gonna be taker. i just think that HBK would come out un expextedly and give some SCM to the champ and it goes from there to WM 26. So yeah idont see HBK returning till at least SummerSlam or Unforgiven meybe even No Mercy.to make his return unexpected to the fans.

They need to stay as far away from DX as possible. DX is one of the most over factions in the history of professional wrestling, it would COMPLETELY take away from everything they're doing with Legacy.

Yeah, maybe sometime down the line, it could work for a one-match only kinda deal, but not a full on feud. I think they should leave Hunter away from Orton for a while, I don't see it doing much good anymore. But then again, I don't think it's possible to not have Triple H in the WWE Championship picture when he returns .

And Shawn attacked DiBiase!? The dude said Batista...


...SCM scrambled his brains? Nah, forget that idea.

That alliance with HHH against the Legacy sounds very good right now actually. & they cant take EVERYTHING away from the Legacy. They can easily have the Legacy go over them, then draw Triple H out of the WWE Championship picture by feuding with HBK, and they enter one of those long resurfacing feuds they always have. The two are clearly approaching their career's end, and one more feud against one, and another is sure to happen.

I'd HATE it if HBK came back and got added to the McMahon/Helmsley/Tista/Flair/ etc. program. I'd rather him come back and go into a program with either The Miz or Hardy. Or maybe (depending on how he returns) a program with Kennedy. Kennedy/HBK previous in-counter ended so prematurely in my eyes.

I hated the Kennedy/Michaels feud. It never felt right and was just awful in my eyes. I'd hate for them to waste what little time he has left on someone like Kennedy. Possibly a Matt Hardy feud would be good but I'd prefer a feud with Morrison.

He's not going to feud with Morrison until Morrison goes both Heel, and over to Raw. He's not going to be on Raw this year. He won't be Heel again this year. And I doubt they'd give him to Shawn Michaels at WM 26 in HBK's (rumored) last WrestleMania. They'd need to build an incredible storyline about Morrison learning from HBK and blah blah in the coming year and make us believe HBK's been training him for years, and Morrison is ready to challenge the master and blah blah.

I wouldn't count on that one. Miz would be awesome, but something tells me HBK can unleash a star in Matt Hardy.

Hopefully though this will at some point down the road this year allow HHH to turn heel and we'll get the speculated HHH/HBK(last match) at Mania next year.
