In my opinion, he is the best color guy the WWE has had since Lawler actually gave a shit about his job.

I'm thinking we get another announcer switch at the draft after Mania. This would be my lineup;

Raw: Cole and Striker
SD: JR and Lawler
ECW: Grishom and Tazz

I'm thinking Cole and Striker would work out pretty well on the A show. JR and Lawler were pretty much meant to be together and should probably go out together as they wind down their careers. Grishom and Tazz are just pathetic.

Striker is an incredible commentator, and right now is the best in the industry. I think he might end up on Smackdown! in the draft, swapping him for Tazz. I don't know if WWE have enough faith in him yet to put him on the A show.

But I think he'd work that much better as a heel. Just a slightly more condescending edge to his commentating would be so much better. I'm tired of every commentator loving the faces and hating the heels.

Striker, Tazz and Lawler should all be heel commentators imo, and be each paired with a face commentator for the entertainment factor. But I think SD is next for Striker, and maybe Raw in a few years time. He's making ECW entertaining for me so I'm happy for the time being.

Yeah, I think he'll be on SD before RAW. The guys great but don't know if Vince would trust him or put his faith in him on the A show so soon. He'll go to SD for a few years before going to RAW.

Didn't he win commentator of the year or some shit? I think the guy is incredible myself. I think he definitely needs to be teamed up with Cole (who is still ruining everything he talks about) so he can correct him and stay in his gimmick, whilst still being a douche.

I agree that we need more heel commentators, that's what made Jerry Lawler dope. I hated when he started going face during the Invasion (I guess it was a bit before as well, but that's when he totally changed it up). I think he's better as a heel. I'd also like to see JBL return to announcing after his retirement, as it was better than his in-ring mic work.

But Striker has been on a roll. Speaking of ECW & Commentators, anyone notice that they announce the winner after a finisher before the pin is ever applied? That shit has been bugging the fuck out of me recently, because I'd like to keep hope alive that someone can kick out of a finisher once in a while, even if it is only ECW.

He's an amazing commentator. However, I think he may go a little over the heads of much of WWE's audience. We all know the whole switch over, where WWE now would rather the announcers focus on telling backstories than calling the actual match. Striker is very play by play oriented. I love how he gives little facts behind all the moves and random shit that goes on...lol
Hopefully the draft will see him have some faith given to him and at least moved over to Smackdown.

Like it.... Especially if you get Striker giving Cole a hard time. That was one of the best things about JBL on SD.
Exactly.. I fucking miss JBL on SD with Cole. Even a three man JBL/Cole/Tazz team on SD with JR/Lawler (with Lawler not being the girly ass bitch he has become) on Raw would be sweet. Striker reminds me of the next Eric Bischoff, I'd rather him be in that sort of GM/authority role (possibly the next SD GM?), tbh, just to see how he would do. I swear the guy could do it, and follow in the footsteps of Bischoff.

Oh btw, I think the reaction these guys gave Christian was fucking pathetic and stupid, more of Grisham. And none of them even called his finisher when he did it... they both seem like garbage to me, but whatever.

Striker is real good. I feel Todd is holding him back on ECW. Stick him with someone who is also good at being an announcer.

Also what Great One said could even be good. Being a GM might be something else he would be great at.

Exactly, I loved watching ECW the other day and hearing him give the explanation of what the initials DDT mean. I just think it suits him brilliantly to use his knowledge, as a teacher, and appear as a student of the game, and "school" people on the art of in-match performances.

I hate this backstory shit, because to me, the art is the way a match is called. Back when JR was yelling out every move with the occasional correction of a mistake by King... "ROCK BOTTOM! ROCK BOTTOM! THE ROCK BOTTOM!" or "STONE COLD STUNNER! STONE COLD STUNNER! STONE COLD STUNNER!" It just has an appeal to it and imo, gets fans even more into the action, and kinda drills the match into memory.

I know I'll always remember "Sweet chi... NO! Austin caught his foot, he's got Michaels... spins him arou.. STONE COLD STUNNER!" That's just classic right there. IMO, that's why Striker is so good, he focuses on the detail of the match, I see enough promos, I don't need to know more about the shit that happened directly before the match now that it's being settled. Give me a rundown of their past feuds if you want, but don't overdo the drilling of the current shit.
