The dreaded screen of death
People always ask, how is it that I'm banned from all these forums, yet I always return when we have our little "spam" games...well heres how I do it. First off, I'm not sure if this would work for everyone. I think it may depend on what type of router you use.
First clear all your internet cookies, cache, etc.
go to start/run and type in "ipconfig /release"
you should get a black box, don't worry, it will go away...
now go into your network. Right click w/e network you use and go into properties. double click the thing that says internet protocol (TCP/IP)
click the option that says "use the following ip address"
type in any random numbers for the ip and press ok
a dialog box should pop up and tell you your missing a subnet mask. It will give you one automatically. press ok, and press ok again.
You will get a message saying your network is now connected, but its not connected yet.
Go back to your network, right click it, and go into properties.
double click the internet protocol thing again, and this time click the box that says "Obtain IP address automatically"
Now you're done. Remember to write down your IP before and after just to make sure it actually changed  And if you really are unsure with computers, don't try this lol. I don't want anyone blaming me for messing up their computer. It also sometimes takes a couple of tries.
NOW LEAVE ME ALONE...hi Peepshow
