How come people think they can treat the wrestlers any way they want because they're fans ?

I mean like whenever you see WWE Superstars in public places, how come most people think they have the right to just chase after them and demand a picture or an autograph just so they can say they met him or her and put it on the Internet to get more views on their Facebook or Twitter when there was hardly any communication with them at all ? This is why certain wrestlers won't talk to you or take a picture because they feel you're wasting their time by not wanting to actually talk to them like a human being (which they are). It's not just wrestling but this is also a problem in Hollywood. This entitlement over people who have no clue who we are has to stop.

Well...I'm all the way in Australia...so I'll never have a chance to meet
any "Famous" wrestlers...but...if I did...I would be civil & ask nicely if
I could take a photo with them. If they said no...I'd be a little cut but
I'd accept it without getting abusive.

I mean I might tell the story online & not watch any of their matches
again...but that's would be my choice.

Just because I'm a fan doesn't mean they owe me anything...and
honestly there are only a few wrestlers that I'd REALLY like to meet.

Most of them are women...& I'd spend most of my time doing my best
impression of that scene from Wayne's World.

You really can't take certain attributes that certain people have and then extrapolate that to the entire population of fans. More often then not, fans are more respectful of famous people than not. In my time, I have met many, many wrestlers in public and have never seen anyone act in the manner that you have put forth. I know that it does happen, but I'd venture that it doesn't happen as much as you probably assume that it does. Just to name a few big names, I have met Shawn Michaels, Ric Flair, Vader, Steve Austin in public and no one treated them this way and they are some of the biggest names ever.

But yeah, I know it happens. However, when someone is on the road to fame, it's not like they don't know this is a possibility. Like a lot of famous people have realized over the years, you can't want to be famous but then be treated by the public like you're not. It's one of the things you deal with.

It's a moot point, though. You can't tell people how to act.

You seem to be really down on fans though. Without fans there would be no wrestling, no movies, no entertainment of any kind. They're pretty important to have.

I think the majority act civil and sane when it comes to wrestling fans.

Hollywood is a different story. I think there is a huge problem with idolizing people in the US. I have heard of "fans" doing some very, very disturbing things.

I don't agree with people harrassing people. But I suppose its the price you have to pay to be rich and famouse. You are dumb if you think you can get a way with being a celebrity and not get harrassed by fans. There are a lot of stupid people out there. If you don't want to deal with stupid fans don't be a famous wrestler. Or be like Randy Orton and tell them to "fuck off".

But yeah the sort of wrestling fans that think they can treat wrestler any way they want need to be taught a lesson. You just gotta look on bothsides of the barricade.
