I really thought it was going to be a foot. In that regard, the fact that is was Swogs was a better option.

I think Vince was disclaimed as the father later on in that storyline. That segment was complete garbage though. I think the writers were smoking pot at the time when they came up with that. I would have preferred another hand than Hornswoggle or at least Mark Henry returning and saying "that's not mine". If they had done it like that it would have been a bit better.
