Hopes for Wrestling in 2013

So what you like to see happen in Pro Wrestling over the next twleve months? Here are a few of my wishes.

For WWE to drop at least one of their midcard titles and to bring in a few ex-IC Champion greats to give a rub to the likes of Barrett.

For the Royal Rumble winner to go on last at Wrestlemania.

For WWE to cut down on television writers and to have one or two man booking teams at the most.

For WWE to stop the negative representation of females and to hail younger female wrestling fans to help advise them on the product for women.

For WWE to add the War Games match to the Surivorseries and for it to be annonced at summerslam and hyped over the next few months on Television, with clips from classic War Games added, as well as wrestlers competing in matches to win a spot.

For WWE to hail only real actors in their films and not WWE talent.

For both Matt and Jeff Hardy to remain clean, focused and to represent TNA and ROH respectively, and to head a ROH VS. TNA feud with the two argueing for the respective merits of the two promotions.

For TNA to either charge fans to get into the Impact Zone or to take Impact on the road, and to have every ppv in a different city.

For TNA to invest some money in younger female talent and not relie so much on ex-WWE stars.

For TNA to stage a PPV in the UK and screen it live.

For TNA to impose bans and fines on wrestlers who show up out of shape or get into trouble with the law.

For Mike Tenay and Taz to be replaced by a new look annonce team of Joey Styles and Raven

For more British talent to wrestle in Japan.

For UK indy promotions to advertise in the press and get extra funding by local communities.

For ROH to tie its best talent down to deals at least a few months before they expire.

For ROH to start a offical woman's division and to have a feud with Shimmer on ppv.

For the WWE to revamp the Divas division and bring in Japanese and Mexican workers. Stop hiring Playboy and Swimsuit models and trying to make them into wrestlers. It's been a colossal failure.

For the WWE to fire Great Khali. (won't happen. wishful thinking on my part)

For the WWE to get rid of 7 PPV's and go back to the "Big 5".

For the WWE to fire the Hollywood writers and go back to pre-taped promos instead of the boring, stale, in ring "confrontation" segments that suck balls 90% of the time (with respects to CM Punk and a few others, of course). Tell the wrestlers to come up with their own material, their own lines, rather than using a fuckin' script!!

 

[Captain Charisma]

WWE:

Undertaker, wrestling more than one match.
Rock becomes WWE champion and wrestles in weekly show. (Won't happen)
Christian becoming World Champion again, also hope he would not get injured.
Ziggler, Bryan, Barrett and Cody competing at main event level.
Kofi Kingston getting a World Title.
Randy Orton heel turn.
Tyson Kidd, Alex Riley, Curt Hawkins, Gillicutty getting pushed.
Tensai, JTG, Great Khali being fired.
Swagger face turn and a USC reign as face.
Better scenarios and bookings.
WWE Divas division getting better.
Flair, Punk, Rock in one segment.
HBK at Road to Wrestlemania.
Seeing Regal more on TV.
Jericho to return.
Giving Kane a last big title shot.
Bring TV 14 back.
And... Make Paul Heyman General Manager!

TNA:

Hardy getting fired.
Sting leaving TNA. Also Hogan.
Concentrating on own talent like Roode, Crimson, AJ, Storm, Morgan.
Pushing Morgan to main event. Also Anderson.
AJ Styles winning the world title.
Kid Kash getting a title.
Kenny King becoming X-Division Champion.
Bully Ray getting a World Title finally.
Jesse Sorensen returning and getting a title.
Joseph Park turns into Abyss.

Some good ideas, on the pre-taped promos idea, it would also be good to have more backstage interviews and cut out most of the silly soap style back stage segments which make no sense.

More involvement from the wrestlers would be good as it would give them the freedom to experment more with their own character depending on the crowd or who they are facing.

[Gimmick]

WWE:
For The Shield to continue being strong well into the new year.
For Ryback's push to fizzle out.
For a Daniel Bryan push back into the main event scene once his reign with Kane comes to an end.
For Hell in a Cell to be scrapped and replaced with a non-themed PPV.
For the amount of title changes to be kept to a minimum.
For Ziggler to successfully cash in his MITB and have a lengthy reign as champion.
For WWE to have more long term planning with their storylines.
For Cody Rhodes to finally have a breakout year.

ROH:
For ROH to stop flattering themselves with their 'best wrestling in the world' talk.
For Kevin Kelly to be replaced by Lenny Leonard.
For ROH to make more additions to their thin roster.
For either Michael Elgin or Adam Cole to win the ROH World title.
For their house shows to have more importance again.
For ROH to get rid of that hideous silver curtain on their entrance ramp.

 

[Embrace Thou Maryse]

Swagger to return and be used properly.
Ziggler to stop playing second fiddle to AJ and get a proper push that focuses on him leading to a long WHC reign.
Sheamus to be jobbed into oblivion.
Rock turns heel as WWE Champion.
The Shield learn how to give decent promos but get jobbed out anyway for being overrated indy/IWC darlings.
