My friend Bill Ali from Syracuse just alerted us that The Honky Tonk Man stated in an interview with him that the former IC champion turned down an offer to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame this year. Honky Tonk Man said that he felt WWE dragged their feet, and he had to turn it down because he is already booked elsewhere for Wrestlemania weekend.

This news comes on the heels of the news that Wayne Farris is close to signing with rival TNA.

Well it's not like the WWE Hall of Fame means anything HTM but if you're going to TNA you better be in better shape or be an on screen character.

This is basically the same thing as the Psycho Sid rumor that happened several months ago.

I'm STILL waiting on Sid to make his TNA debut. Hasn't happened yet because like I said all those months ago, the rumor was full of shit. And that's what I'm gonna say about this rumor of the Honkey Tonk Man now.

Although it would be hilarious to have Honkey Tonk Man Vs. Jeff Jarrett in a "Guitar Match". lol.

WHAT THE FUCK, yeaaaaaaah! Fucking LOVE Honky Tonk Man! I don't give a shit that he's a fat old wrestler that no one cares about anymore (which is what TNA obviously looks for these days), he's the fucking SHIT and I would smile and watch TNA every week if he goes there.

In the Sid rumor defense, he got injured at the end of 2009.

As for HTM, He has said before that he would be intrested in being in the HOF, so if he has turned it down he probably does have ligit plans for elsewhere. If it TNA that wouldn't suprise me, it fits the TNA logic...ie no logic.

I am willing to bet he wasn't even offered. Honky is as irrelevant to wrestling these days as Manute Bol is to basketball. He's a bitter jackoff that always has something to say but no one ever listens. Where is he needed that's more important than a WWE show that weekend? It isn't because he's an honorable man and he's making good on his previous commitments, dude has no-showed more indies than Buff Bagwell and Jake Roberts combined. He's more than likely talking out his ass. TNA signing Honky is worse than signing the Nastys and Orlando Jordan combined!

Eric Bischoff: ""This guy couldn't draw flies if you rolled him in cow shit. He's negotiating with himself. No truth to that at all."

That was the best part.

I think this is his ploy to get into the HOF. He probably never got offered a spot in the HOF but he is hoping that the fear of him going to TNA would make WWE afraid and sign him and give him some money and recognition.
