Hulk Hogan was on Bubba The Love Sponge's radio show this morning. Here is what I heard.

Hogan wants to kill all house shows in TNA until the TV comes together and then in no time they will become a force that people will pay attention to. Seriously.
Hogan has no plans to bring in just his friends. Really Hulk?!? He said he only met Ken Anderson on the Australian tour and knew that the guy had what it took.

Bubba then talked about the incident with Awesome Kong earlier this week, calling her a bitch and saying he was mad at what she did to him. Hogan played it off as it being menstrual-related.

Bubba said he was pushing for a bigger role in TNA but now hates the wrestling business. Hogan said, "Wow!"

How in any way will killing house shows help their product at all. That brings fans in. Brings in money. People have said that TNA shows are a great atmosphere and they are real fan interactive. :smh That'd be a dumb move imo.

Bubba calling Kong a bitch... gay. Fuck that guy. His segments last night were horrible. I hope he doesn't get a bigger role in TNA. I'd rather he not be thre at all but if he has to be, keep him down to one interview.

They're probably losing more money then they're making with house shows TBH.

I'm not gonna question the guy, because honestly TNA's product has been much improved since he came into the company on all fronts. More entertaining, better look, brighter prospects, new talent. So fuck it, let the guy keep tweeking shit around. It's been working thus far. And if the only casualties so far are two knockouts...well I can live with that.

Yah, TNA's house shows are utter crap.

I always hear good things about TNA's house shows. They might not make much money on them, but like Bonez said, people always say they have a good atmosphere and that the wrestlers put on a good show (most of the time atleast).

Oh, and I want JB back.

Still, whatever portion of their budget is going towards putting on house shows at this point would be much better suited to improving their television product, trying to get on the road a little more and hiring some new talent.

TNA goes to shit towns though. Like seriously? Bilouxi, MS? How people do you expect to draw there?

Have to start somewhere. Can't just go straight to Madison Square Garden.

People tend to forget TNA is only 8 years old.

I don't think they have the money to book the big towns/cities for every show they do, so they have to save those for the PPVs and whatnot.

Honestly, the more I think about it the idea of ending house shows (for now at least) sounds better and better.

The biggest problem with this is that many talents WILL leave, a lot guys on the roster only get paid per appearance and the house shows is where a lot of guys get paid. TNA's house shows draw decent, they average more than what the impact zone can hold and that's about a 1000, and the tna talents seem to enjoy the house shows a lot becuase they can have fun and put on good matches. they take their house shows overseas, those usually draw great, you can't cancel those, I think tna needs to just advertise better, slap flyers everywhere, pay some money to put up bilboards in the bigger surrounding cities. And a big thing is these house shows are a great way for them to raise money for Haiti right now, but of course hogan doesn't want that.

I like the product right now, I don't like hogan's boys coming in, and don't say much about Anderson where else was he going to go?

That's where they get a good use out of house shows. Traveling. I'd think It'd be smarter to try out a new town with a house show to see how much it draws, rather than take iMPACT to a new town they've never been to before and have a week draw (on TNA standards). House Shows draw fans to the product. I understand wanting to put focus on iMPACT and make it better, but taking away house shows ain't the right way to go imo.

I reserve judgment until the day we get to see TNA's financial statements. If they're not profitable, and are in fact so far in the red that TNA can't justify keeping them going for the theoretical new fans they bring in, there's no reason to keep putting them on.
