The problem is everyone is too busy thinking what we see in a ring is all that matters......it's only the byproduct off the work of hundreds of other people behind the scenes who are the reason we see that one aspect of this business.

I said it’s fine. I just personally rather he have done it. But at least it wasn’t something dumb that wouldn’t really do anything.

I’m not an AEW viewer, but if I were in their shoes and was trying to attract the casual fan or lapsed Attitude Era fans, here’s what I’d do.

Hire: A big time name with some size. Their roster is ridiculously small. He wouldn’t be an everyday guy, but someone like Goldberg would draw some attention. He was arguably WCW’s biggest draw. For an new promotion on the TNT network, a guy like Goldberg would be instant credibility for lapsed WCW/casual fans.

For fire, it would be the Young Bucks. Besides Ricochet, they are the absolute worst thing about wrestling today. Even if they do have a following, having guys like that as the poster boys for your company is always going to resonate as indy for a lot of viewers. If I were flipping through the channels and knew nothing about the AEW product and my first exposure were these wanna be gymnast, skinny fat assholes, it would be an immediate channel change.
