Saw HIM last night at The Fillmore, fucking incredible show. They played with We Are The Fallen, they, were pretty cool as well. Here's the set list for HIM. Sorry, can't really recall the order exactly...

St. Valentine
Right Here In My Arms
Wings Of A Butterfly
Heartkiller
Kiss Of Dawn
Scared To Death
Wicked Game
Love The Hardest Way
Buried Alive By Love
Poison Girl
Disarm Me With Your Loneliness
Join Me In Death
Funeral Of Hearts

Encore: Rebel Yell

Only one song from Venus Doom and Dark Light and NOTHING from Deep Shadows. That kind of pissed me off. People were going nuts chanting for songs from Deep Shadows and Ville actually said something to the effect that they don't play that anymore. I'll have a full review up later.

Deep Shadows is my favorite album so that sucks. Still seems like a kickass show. Lucky bastard :nonono:

I love HIM. They are one of those bands that I would love to see live, but they rarely, if ever come anywhere close to Washington. From the set though it sounded like a kickass show.

Deep Shadows I believe is mostly about his long time girlfriend he just split with, so I imagine that's why they don't play anything off of it anymore.

Ville sounded incredible last night. He's been sober (and I believed quit smoking) for quite some time now. His voice was probably the best I've ever heard it. He hit every range from the deeper tones of the older material, the higher notes of the newer stuff and belted out some absolutely RIDICULOUS screams. Not like metal screams, but you know what I mean. When he came out you seriously needed to do a quadruple take to make sure it wasn't Johnny Depp filling in. Had a pretty thick Sparrow'esque goatee and his signature stocking cap on.
He always jokes around with the crowd a lot and says ridiculous shit.
Linde solos his ass off in just about every song, he really fuckin tore it up last night. Especially during Wicked Game.

Yeah, really great set.

So what's up with this "We Are The Fallen" band. Pretty much Evanescense with an Amy clone replacement? Actually, she sounded quite a bit better than Amy. They were pretty good I must say. Busted out a Maiden cover and Madonna's "Like A Prayer" LOL

Yeah We Are The Fallen is a great band, they incorporate some heaviness and some Evanescence feel to the band. They are some great stuff, they had an EP, or at least when I saw them live, and their first official album comes out tomorrow actually, might have to check it out :)

I can't wait for tomorrow! I'm seeing As I Lay Dying, Demon Hunter, blessthefall, and my cousin's band War of Ages! It's going to be fucking brutal!

Hell yeah I saw them open for Lamb of God and Children of Bodom two years ago, they totally blew them away.

I saw HIM about a month ago. That was an amazing show. From looking at your set list it seems pretty much the same from what they played here. Their Rebel Yell cover was fucking awesome.

As for We Are the Fallen I thought they sucked. They were boring and you couldn't understand a thing the singer was saying. Out of the bands that played with HIM when I saw them Dommin was the best.
