- As we reported previously, the winner of the Jeff Hardy vs. Triple H match at WWE's Armageddon pay per view will get a chance to win the WWE Title at Royal Rumble. With the way things are planned, Triple H will probably win the WWE Title from Randy Orton at the Royal Rumble pay per view. If no plans change, Triple H will be going over Hardy at Armageddon and Orton will likely regain the WWE Title over Chris Jericho.
The plan right now is to have Triple H wrestle Batista at WrestleMania 24 in Orlando, FL. There is major talk within WWE of doing this match for WrestleMania instead of the previously planned Orton. vs Triple H match.
With that being said, it will only make sense that Batista will win the Royal Rumble because the winner will be able to face any brand's Champion at WrestleMania 24.
So in order for us to see Triple H and Batista face off at WM24, Batista must win the Rumble match because of the stipulations of the Elimination Chamber match at No Way Out which will only feature stars from the same brand. How this match will work is the other brand's Champion will have six stars from their brand in the Elimination Chamber match. The winner will then receive a World Title Shot at WrestleMania. It appears that match will be a SmackDown brand match.
Based on how things are shaping up, Batista will lose his title sometime soon. Edge will likely take the belt from Batista. As for the elimination match, it makes sense for The Undertaker to win the Elimination Chamber match and face Edge at WrestleMania 24.
