Benson Henderson will headline another UFC on FOX event.
The former UFC lightweight champion will square off against
Josh Thomson in the main event of
UFC on FOX 10 at the United Center on Jan. 25, according to UFC president
Dana White at the
UFC 167 post-fight press conference.
It will be a five-round lightweight fight.
Henderson has previously headlined two prior UFC on FOX events. He defeated
Nate Diaz via unanimous decision at UFC on FOX 5 and defeated
Gilbert Melendez at UFC on FOX 7 via split decision.
Thomson was expected to face
Anthony Pettis at UFC on FOX 9, but Pettis withdrew with an injury.
Henderson (19-3) lost his UFC lightweight title against Anthony Pettis via submission at
UFC 164 this past August. He has won seven of his past eight fights overall.
Thomson (20-5 with 1 no-contest) recorded a second-round TKO of Diaz in his return to the UFC this past April.
