the black/white monochromal reduced the level of your banner imo. other than that, good style.

^ok try reduce the grey scale, add another color (38% opacity for Gradient) would be nice to be a purple color. Make the layer as "color" then add another layer and apply image, make it 12% opacity and adjust the layer setup to soft light, add PH of yellow color. Then add another layer and apply image and fix the opacity to 15% use black/white gradient and make the layer "normal" effect.
try it and you will know what i mean.
