- Monday's Raw saw the return of Ric Flair to WWE, who presented the "Superstar of the Year" Slammy Award and encountered CM Punk, Paul Heyman and The Shield. It has been speculated that with his return to WWE television, he is affiliated with the sports-entertainment organization again. That is not the case as he has not re-signed with WWE. His appearance was considered a cameo.

- Also Ric Flair is featured in today's "Superstar Spotlight" on WWE.com

There's a rumor that he's fighting Punk at Elimination Chamber.

That rumour is the dumbest thing I've ever heard of. :dawg:

The source for the rumor is PWTorch:

After returning to WWE TV on Monday's Raw, Ric Flair offered some interesting comments about potentially wrestling again.

In an interview on WWE's website, Flair was asked about his confrontation with WWE champion C.M. Punk during Raw. Flair said he would like to test Punk to see if he's really the "best in the world," then said he would need 60 days to get ready. Of note, Monday's Raw was exactly two months before the Elimination Chamber PPV in February 2013.

"I could tell you that if I got myself ready in two months," Flair said about testing Punk. "Give me two months and I'll tell you that. I don't want to say something I can't back up right now, but give me 60 days."

Flair made the "60-day challenge" while smiling about it, which made it unclear if he was serious about potentially facing Punk in two months. In the first-half of the interview, Flair talked about returning to WWE, which he described as "the only place in the world to work."

I love Ric, but in the EC? Maybe 20 years ago. His role should be as a manager or authority figure, that is all. I'm sure he was just kidding though.

Would love to have Flair signed as a manager or authority figure. Him wrestling... well, not surprised.

I agree with everyone as a manager or in authority not a wrestler which is what my post was aimed at. Not Flair in WWE as such.
