It is time for Beavie's latest hot take, although one I see people sharing. Despite the fact that I don't watch week in and week out, I can't deny that right now, Kofi Kingston is now one of the hottest acts in the company through one week of Ironman performances, and a final two finish in the Elimination Chamber. Kofi Kingston has been probably one of the more reliable mid-card talents in the company, and aside from one push in 2009 where Randy Orton killed it, "Stupid," has been kept mostly to the United States and Intercontinental Title as a singles wrestler, and especially in the past few years, has been relegated to the tag team scene where he is a focal point of New Day (and has held the tag titles longer than anyone else in the company). He's quietly formed a Hall of Fame-worthy career ala those who haven't been world champ, but is it time to change that?

If there is any time to potentially capitalize on Kofi Kingston as a WWE World Champion, this may be the time and he may even be the first African American WWE Champion (aside from the Rock who is half-African American and half Samoan). When? At Wrestlemania perhaps?

Looking at the WWE title scene on Smackdown, it may be one of their best bets. With AJ Styles just facing Daniel Bryan a few times for the title and likely facing Randal Kieth...Randal Randal Kieth, namanamina, he's out at Mania. Then Mustafa Ali, who likely would have been in the Kofi spot if he wasn't injured, is hurt so he is out. Would Samoa Joe work after all those high profile loses? No. Is Jeff Hardy ready for another WWE title push? No. Andrade ("Cien" Almas)? He's a heel and is still fighting Rey Mysterio which rules both of them out. Kofi Kingston likely the best bet to face Daniel Bryan and it may be a great story to tell.

Beavie's Random Story Idea!:

At Fast Lane, there can be a number one contender's match which Kofi can win, then the build can easily start as Daniel Bryan's normal radical veganism, blasting Kofi and New Day for "clogging the arteries of the WWE Universe" and New Day counter it with their normal shenanigans until Rowan and Daniel Bryan shut them up with a Beat-Down. Then The New Day, and Kofi specifically, can turn things to be a bit serious. They can bring up the parallels of him and "The Old" Daniel Bryan, being an underdog who never really had the company behind him. Say that the reason "The New" Daniel Bryan is scared of Kofi Kingston is because he's scared of "The Old" Daniel Bryan in Kofi, thus driving Daniel Bryan mad. I think the story may be great, the match may be great, and someone breaking the glass ceiling at the expense of someone else who did it at Wrestlemania after turning to the dark side, would be such a great moment.

What do you think? Do you think Kofi can work in the WWE title match at Wrestlemania and if he is in the match, should he win? Feel free to give your ideas and if your named after an animal and turn this into a thread bashing "neckbeard, incel, smarks," then I will unleash a rabbid Beaver, okay?

Kofi as WWE Champion would be a awful idea. The guy isn't a draw and ratings will drops by 40%, I mean just look at hippie neckbeard Daniel Byran or that incel known as Seth Rollins, and he isn't a main eventer unlike the love of my life Big Daddy Cool Diesel, or Kevin Nash as you incels and neckbeards know him as. This would be a awful idea for WWE to do.

Now what do you think beyond the meme? *puts meme filter in place, patent pending*

Uh...I really don't know as I only do memes, and I don't watch WWE anymore...but I guess I will take a shot at it. I will say Kofi has defiantly earned a chance to be or even have a match that is for the WWE Championship as he is a good worker both inside and outside of the ring, the fans can get behind him, he is one of the few guys who has a squeaky clean-esque personal record, and WWE would be making history and we all know how much WWE likes to "make history" and be "the first ever". And his match with Daniel, who I am assuming is the champion, will be great for both guys can work and you have Daniel who is likes to stay on the ground and submit, while Kofi likes to move around and does high flying stuff. Those two contrasting styles would be great to see if they both have the psychology for it like Adam Cole's match with Ricochet at one of the Takeovers last year. That is my non-memeish take. Happy?

Yes. The reaction he got is more then what anyone else on Smackdown would get. Kofi is universally beloved and you don't really need to make up much of a story. 11 years of hard work. That's all you need in the promo packages to get people hyped.

I think he should have won last night, truly it was his moment. But hopefully WWE goes on and continue to push him.

Disagree. The reaction Kofi got when he lost was something special. Gonna be even more support for him at Mania.

True, but imagine the reaction if he did win it.

It would be huge. But what they actually did leads to good storytelling instead of the premature feel good moment. If you having nothing for Mania then just ha e Kofi finally be crowned wwe champ.

If they continue this build then yeah he should win it at Mania, it's only logical. Yes, him winning last night would have produced a huge reaction, but I don't know if it would have lasted. Kofi had an incredible showing and the response was overwhelming, so it was actually kinda perfect in a way. It gets the fans emotionally invested in Kofi winning if or when he ever does, and gets the fans to even further hate Bryan for winning and taking that opportunity away from him. If they DO go ahead with that match at Mania, Kofi NEEDS to win. It wont have the same magic to disappoint the same way a second time, and wont do anything for either guy in my opinion

Honestly, with the work that guy has done as of late, absolutely. I am not his biggest fan, but he worked his ass off last night. And in that gauntlet match. He deserves something more than one cool Royal Rumble moment each year. He and Bryan made me REALLY believe it was possible last night.

Thank you chants are generally reserved for announcements and retirements. He got one last night because he made that chamber match somethign else.
