So over the past two weeks, we've seen Matt Hardy with his cast, and supposedly broken hand. The first week, it was basically a squash match by him, and rightfully so, against Goldust. This week though, he actually had a solid match. The cast thing, to me, seems like a good way to build up heat, and keep him active seeing as his hand is supposedly actually broken in real life.
What's everyone think about this whole angle?
Oh, and another thing... I see he's "wrestling under protest". You think that'll lead to anything? I'm thinking it'll lead to something, I'm just not sure what. Usually it would lead to a feud with the GM or something, for making him wrestle, but with Vickie being a heel GM I doubt that.

I actually like this angle - I am not a fan of Matt's on the mic (2nd most annoying voice to Vickie's) but I think his in ring wrestling ability and his story telling skills (pertaining to selling moves, getting the crowd into the match)are pretty good. The fact that he actually lost to Kofi was good as him being a dominant heel isn't too believable. I think putting him in there with Kofi and other up and coming talent will only help these other guys out. I heard his hand is really broken too and I'm pretty sure he asked Vince to still be on TV cause he knows what happens when you're not Cena or Batista and get injured, you get put on the back burner and with Raw stacked at the moment with guys like MVP, Kofi, Kennedy, Regal, etc... he needs to stay active to keep his momentum going. I do not see Matt ever being the WWE Champ or Word Title Champ, he just doesn't have that IT factor imo.

It reminds me of Owen's cast angle. I hope they bring Matt out of this with a championship storyline. Maybe not winning it, but at least a main event or two. Kozlov got a couple... it's the least they can do for Matt.

LMFAO! Or D'Lo's chest protector gimmick. It was like a padded vest that was supposedly like DnD body armor with +10 to frogsplash attributes.

I think it's great that they're keeping him active but I really would have preferred a win over Kofi. Ya know, have him use the cast in his matches to further bring into question if his hand is really broken. (Which it actually is, but the fans don't have to know that).

The first person I thought of was Owen when I saw Hardy. This could lead to a title shot somewhere down the line but it looks like MVP will be feuding with Regal. Maybe Hardy will be thrown in the mix.

I like it, I am a huge Matt Hardy fan and I have been since 2001, I believe this could be a chance to start getting some main event time, I am not saying anything like him winning a world title but possibly get involved in a upper mid-card/main event feud in the coming weeks
