So instead of the dark matches being written as automatic wins/losses, why don't we use Hardcore Impact as the developmental show for the new guys who join? Kind of like the Sunday Night Heat/Velocity show. All the wrestlers who need some time to improve can be placed on Hardcore Impact, so they can still RP and actually get the full experience of seeing how their match plays out.

I would gladly offer to write matches, and I'm sure my brother would help too. Just an idea. What do you guys think?

I don't expect the big writers like JMay and Adam Freeman to partake in the writing, as they have enough on their plate. I just think it'd be an interesting thing to do on the side.

If we brought back Hardcore Impact it would be as a second show with a draft. superstars on Mayhem and than superstars on Impact.

the dark matches are just something to help you roleplay. It's your superstar on a card building until a debut on a show. as of now there isn't enough superstars for two shows. We want around 45-50 superstars before splitting the show.

But it was a good idea Dominick.

I think its nice just having MNM for the time being... Once we have cemented MNM as the solid show, the "A- Show", we should then bring back HI!

One thing I would like to see if HI is brought back is for it to actually be more "Hardcore"

I agree with Jmay, the roster would have to be forty plus to bring impact. we have had a little talk about it not too long ago si im sure you will see the show at some point.

How about bring back HI as IWF's version of Heat or Velocity or Xplosion. Thats what i think could be a good idea, but well see wont we.

That's what the whole idea of this thread was. He didn't mean by a whole new brand. He meant by what is said above. (This is directed towards JMay Also)

I dunno...... If you better explain the Dark Matches, then there is no need for this concept.

I think RPs for the development show (if there becomes one) should be quick promos or interviews you cut before the match or during the show so that the RPs are in the show and a long, serious RP isnt made for a quick match. If that makes any sense

I Believe That If And When HI Comes Back, It Should Be More Hardcore Like Marvel Said Maybe A CZW/ECW Type Show? Like ECW Started Out When Show Was Champ In 2006

I understand where JMay and Adam.Freeman are coming from, not wanting to bring Hardcore Impact back unless their are enough wrestlers to fill both shows.

However, in my opinion, I feel that wrestlers are gonna lose interest in the fed if they join, RP, and then don't even get a real match in the show.

If I had just joined an e-fed, and I had to RP, and then didn't even get to read my match, I wouldn't even wanna be here, I'd join another one.

That's just my opinon, I think another show, maybe not necessarily HI, would be good so we can maintain a roster. How can we ever get enough people to join if people are joining and quitting?

Like I said, that's just my opinion.

In my beard
It's far better to have dark matches on a one brand company than to have summarized matches on a second brand that is obviously labled as "The B Show".

What sounds more humiliating to you? The fact that you're featured in a match that is only taped before the actual show goes on the air? Or the fact that you're moved to "The B Show" where you get shorter matches anyway, and you're on the "developmental" brand so you're obviously not considered good enough yet to be in the big leagues?

In my experience neither dark matches or developmental brands have ever been successful at keeping active members happy. The dark match method is successful for weeding out newcomers who are just signing up for the sake of signing up and then proceed to noshow anyway. That you can just say they were squashed and move on without their noshow stinking up the main show.

Since it seems like IWF is pretty set on match writers (I'm assuming this as the staff board still isn't accessible to me) I can personally volunteer to write one to two paragraph summaries of any dark match that is submitted for IWF shows as my personal staff duty. That way I can present the matches in a way that the kayfabe crowd gets fired up because a bunch of young guns really tore down the house before the show went on the air. That way when the actual show starts then it'll make sense when the generic intro starts up letting us know that the fans are pumped to be here tonight.

That way Dark Matches can have at least some semblance of meaning. You won't have to worry about your roleplayings seeming like they've been ignored for the big picture, and you won't have to be moved over to a B Brand show and the staff won't have to stretch their writing power thin or have an overly cluterred staff board due to too many mods on board.

Otherwise I totally agree with Jmay. Due to personal experience you NEVER want to do a brand split/draft with two weekly shows unless A) You know you have the staff power to write both shows on time and effectively and B) You have at LEAST 32+ members so you can have a good amount of people on both brands. And I don't mean just 32 bodies with a majority of them being notorious noshows, I mean 32 active users willing and able to roleplay every week.

I agree with that, too. All I'm trying to suggest is a way to keep guys interested. I saw the 'strike list' that JMay posted the other day, and there were quite a few guys on it.

However, it's not about "humilation". Personally, if it was me, and I was a new and unproven RP'er, I would take it as a challenge to start out on the 'B-Show', and work myself up to the 'A-Show'. It would build wrestling prospects, so perhaps they could be hyped up on the main show.

And like I said, JMay or Freeman or whoever else writes the main show wouldn't have to bother with it. If they put their two cents into it and said 'hype this guy up' or 'so&so wins', that would help, but they wouldn't need to waste any time writing on guys that could possibly not even stick around to be on the show.

It was just an idea, some people like it, some people don't, I understand. It's no big deal if the idea isn't used, but I just figured I should explain the way I pictured it being used.
