*Backstory*

After filing a lawsuit against Triple H for assault and getting a huge payout, Paul Heyman used the money to found a new wrestling company with the aim of reigniting the Monday Night Wars. As more and more wrestlers became interested though, he had the idea of also running a second show Live on a Friday in the hope of gaining viewers who had already seen spoilers to the pre taped Smackdown! Jim Ross, sick of the laughing stock he has been made out to be by Vince, joined as a commentator along with Michael Cole who left after saying the BBQ sauce was the last straw and the recently fired Armando Estrada became the GM for the first show, GWE Mayhem. William Regal was brought in to be GM of the second show, GWE Thunder.
