Former TNA star Gunner was involved in a fan incident at a PWX indie event on September 6th in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that a Carolina indie fan named Adrian Rohr, who attends many events, had apparently written negative things on social media about Gunner and Gunner wasn't happy about them. Fans were also chanting "Dixie's reject" at Gunner, reportedly leading to him kicking Rohr in the chest, in front of his young son. PWX has no barriers at ringside.

Most of the wrestlers reportedly took Gunner's side, which they will often do even if the other wrestler is wrong, but others who were working the event noted to The Observer that the assault was unprovoked. Rohr is said to be a very respectful fan, "who is not a nut in any way."

Gunner reportedly wrote the following online after the match but apparently it's been deleted:

"And for the record, don’t be an idiot fan and step up to my ring. You will get kicked."

What a dweeb. Talk about an overreaction. You damn near kill a guy because he criticized how you slap near-naked men around? Get grip.

Yes. A hard enough kick can cause trauma, damage to the heart muscles, lung tissue etc. I doubt it was nearly this intense but that's why I said 'nearly'.

So you know that Gunner penalty kicked him or something?

You said "a hard enough kick can cause trauma". Do you know how hard Gunner kicked the guy?

I think this is very over played. Gunner is a guy with good rep in the business. So if this went down there are probably reason for it.

No ones reported the death or serious injury of the guy. So I can infer that it wasn't that hard. Until they do, well that's a different story.

If Gunner kicked him because of that particular chant, then he is a turd.

Gunner's side of the story, from his Facebook

Gunner said:
Heres the "report" from a dirt sheet obviously bashing me.In 15 years i have never touched a fan. In 15 years i have never let a Chant get me mad or angry or what ever it says. The "dixie"s reject" Chant was awesome and i used it to better the promo and story. Im loving all the backlashing here from people that wasn't even there. I feel its time to protect myself and say something. Will i apologize? no because fans need to know their boundaries. If you watch i shoved this guy Adrian Rohr back with my boot. This isn't the first time that PWX has had issues with him. Ask Billy Brash, ask Brian Kanabroski who runs PWX. Do i care that he has bashed me using his keyboard at home? NO. I still lay my head down at night on a pillow that i worked hard to pay for. Do i care that Thomas Simpson and Greg Price trash me? No. i remember a few years ago how much they loved and praised me for my hard work. I still don't understand the hatred these 2 have for me but OL well. Ask Abel Adams about me. He has been there when a fan rushed the ring towards me. I will protect myself. I have way more saying i did the right thing as Rohr came towards the ring and slapped the mat while throwing me the finger. The seats that night where 8 to10 feet back from the ring. I will leave it at this. I am a professional, regardless of opinions, and i will stand up for myself and this business. I have enough emails, pictures and reliable sources and info to prove there have been more than this incident involving this fan. God bless and thanks to all my supporters and to my haters......Thanks even more cause you make me work harder. Until next time
yours truly

So, he just shoved him back, but didn't actually kick him. lol
Better call Saul, Gunski.

All joking aside, if a video of the incident surfaces, then we'll be able to judge who was right or wrong.

Gunner's a good worker and I really enjoyed him in TNA. His look was great, and had some good wrestling abilities. He ran with that intense gimmick really well and did some great stuff in Early 2014 with James Storm and even greater stuff as a TNA World Champion contender later that year. But wrestlers shouldn't never put their hands on a fan and vice versa. It's a dick move on either side of the situation. Whether it's because he typed some shit about him or another reason that isn't really explained in Gunner's post, it should never happen. Unless the fan intentionally provoked Gunner in a way that could've endangered him or others.
