Guess who is now in line to be the next ECW Title challenger

WWE sent out a mobile alert today stating that Mike Knox is now in line for an ECW Title shot.

OK, not the guy they have been pushing since debuting, not the Gold Standard, not Burke(yeah, I know that was too much asking), hell, not even a freaking midcarder from SD, no, we get Mike Knox, they guy that even got sent back to development and has a shadow of steroids rumors above him.

Well it only says "shot" not feud so I can expect a run-in from Chavo and co to end the match in DQ or it ending up being a squash.

Burke should be taking that Title in a couple months, and in line for the next Title shot after Chavo...not punk ass Knox.

This is a very interesting choice. I'd rather Morrison or someone else get a shot, but as said I don't think this is will be a long term feud or anything probably just a one time match on a regular ECW show and he loses. Or Dreamer/Stevie Richards does a run in and costs Knox the title.

Edit: Burke hasn't really shown me anything that he deserves a title shot and he's really never done anything for me. I think he should just be in a mid card feud or something, but not for the ECW Title.

Morrison and Miz are tied up with the tag titles, so both of them are out. Elijah Burke has been made to look like a joke for about the past 8 months, so he's out too. Shelton Benjamin is Shelton Benjamin, and that's more than enough to leave him out of the title scene.

We know next to nothing about the new guy (Chavo's backup) but we know he can't possibly be a contender, and ultimately we're left with... Mike Knox.

He's the only heel that can legitimately go after Kane. Hey, who knows, maybe people will start caring about Knox >_>

I could care less about the ECW talent, just as long as Mr. Awesome, aka Mike Adamle, is at the booth, it's all good, that guy is my hero.


On a more serious note, WWE Creative...WTF! Mike Knox is built more like a refrigertor than Rhino is, plus he is a total creep. If anyone gets a title shot, it should be a 3 way where Miz and Morrison team up against Kane, that would be nice, CM Punk could kiss my ass, never want to see him in the title hunt ever again, would rather have Shelton, or Jamaican me Crazy Kofi Kingston...you know you're someone in the wrestling business when an annoucner has a catch phrase specifically for you.

Knox reminds me of a Big Tall Generic CHarisma-less version of macho man to me...but tha guys kind of a nobody at the moment...how about like...Umaga or someone comes over to challenge for the ECW TITLE or something...I don't know

some how i don't see this getting the buyrates up/or the ratings up....

If anyone that should get it after Backlash should be:

ECW Brand: John Morrison or Shelton benjamin...

as they would improve the ratings maybe. plus an Kane/morrison Feud can add the Miz factor as maybe Morrison could use him to gain an cheap victory.

i don't see Kane/Knox matches being that great.. if they want an monster sized man to face kane, they should use Big show or Festus or Batista..

I know Batista or big show them going for the ecw c'ship, sounds like an incredible depush... but it would generate ratings for ECW..
