I REALLY WANTED TO DISCUSS ON THIS TOPIC FOR A LONG TIME-- GOLDBERG HAS INDEED BECOME IMMORTAL IN WCW AND EVEN IN WWE BUT HIS MOST PRICED ACHIEVEMENT IS THE 173-0 WINNING STEAK. I MEAN LET'S FACE IT GUYS , AITHOUGH UNDERTAKER INDEED SHOWED THE WORLD THAT HE TRULY IS THE PHENOM WHEN HE PINNED HHH FOR THE 2ND TIME AT WM 28 BUT I DO THINK THAT BILL GOLDBERG'S 173-0 IS WAY A BIGGER ACCOLADE THAN TAKER'S 20-0 . PLEASE GIVE YOUR OPINION GUYS

First off what's with all the caps? Secondly Taker is a long way ahead as a performer. Thirdly Taker is the bigger legend IMO, bill was a huge star in the late 90s but never really carried it beyond the streak, Taker has been at a similar stage for the past 10 years.

sure taker's a great legend but don't you think that practically staying undefeated for 173 matches night after night is way more a difficult thing to do rather than beating 20 opponents in 20 years of time

but still i'd say that except bret hart goldberg could beat anyone even taker

__________

I do know seabs that all of this is said to be pre planned but you think that if it was to be so easy then the wwe fans wouldn't appreciate and admire these superstars and legends so I think that this is real, damn real

Undertaker by a long mile. His streak is considerably more important because it's a streak having only to do with matches at the biggest event of them all, Wrestlemania. Look at the people Taker has beaten there. A lot of the people Goldberg beat were jobbers or people at the bottom of the card. Taker is also the bigger overall legend in wrestling, and it's not even comparable.

I think Goldberg was slightly underrated in the ring, at least in the sense that people act as if he is like the Warrior in the ring or something. I thought Goldberg had some cool moves in the ring.

Goldberg was a natural athlete but never understood how to build a match IMO. He couldn't piece the bits together, but he was able to work the crowd well from what he did know.

Oh, sorry to all you guys that are probably going to hate me for this, but Goldberg has so many more accomplishments than Taker sorry to say. With that being said, my choice is Goldberg... but Orton over all of them <3

Let's hear Bill's accomplishments which rank him so far above Taker then? Beyond their respective kayfabe streaks obviously.

I'll name a few..

* he beat Hulk Hogan for the WCW title in a match at the Georgia Dome which was the highest attended WCW event ever.

* kicked Bret in the head so hard that Bret suffered a career ending injury.

* WWE champion by beating Triple H in HHH's prime years.

* WCW
World Title
7/6/98 Nitro - Hulk Hogan
Tag Team Title
12/7/99 - with Bret Hart beat Creative Control
U.S. Title
4/20/98 - Raven
10/24/99 Halloween Havoc - Sid

* WWE
World Heavyweight Championship
9/21/03 Unforgiven - Triple H

* Obviously his streak..

Good enough for you @[Seabs]?

__________

* kicked Bret in the head so hard that Bret suffered a career ending injury. - Not an accomplishment, anyone can be a sloppy worker

* WWE champion by beating Triple H in HHH's prime years. - Taker beat Austin in his prime, whilst Austin was the bigger draw in the late 90s.

* WCW
World Title - Taker is a 7 time world champion.
7/6/98 Nitro - Hulk Hogan
Tag Team Title - Taker has won the tag titles times 7 times including a WCW title run.
12/7/99 - with Bret Hart beat Creative Control
U.S. Title - Taker has won the hardcore title, slightly less prestigious than what the WCW title was but still, he won midcard titles too.
4/20/98 - Raven
10/24/99 Halloween Havoc - Sid

* WWE
World Heavyweight Championship - See above.
9/21/03 Unforgiven - Triple H

* Obviously his streak.. - Taker has the WM streak, which when you compare match quality, Taker blows Bill away.

Good enough for you @[Seabs]?

Oh, and apparently the face of WCW as well. - Lol no, Sting and Hollywood Hogan were the faces of WCW. Bill was shit hot in 98 but never the face for a long period of time if at all.

Hardly blows him away, but still good game old chap :burns:

Well, we all know who would've won in a real life fight when Taker wasn't so old... Goldberg! ;D
