I'm cool with this happening tbh, I said Goldberg would have been a good fill in when we were fantasy booking Gunther/Brock before the shit came out with that.

Im okay with it too as long as the match goes like I expect and it's at some B PPV or even maybe Netflix Raw debut idk. HHH has never saw eye to eye with Goldberg so it is cool he might be giving him that retirement match he desperately wanted. I've noticed other signs of legends being treated a lot better in minor ways too

 

[Dale]

Definitely seems like they're cooking something up for him otherwise I can't imagine they would have done that angle just for a one night thing even though it was Atlanta.

Also just showing off the legends in the crowd during the down time between matches is a nice touch aswell, it's that treating them with respect you're talking about.

I’m all for it if it’s a quick 5 minute thing they do at Survivor Series or Saturday Nights Main Event.

Gunther retains with the sleeper and Goldberg can ride off into the sunset like he wants.

That's actually different than what I was thinking but yeah that too, and legends that have historically not sucked WWEs dick all the time like DDP sounded genuinely taken aback by how the "legends section" is treated when they get those invites too

I would even accept the rumble or Survivor series as I've said earlier bc those will have long matches booked so a shorter Gunther match is okay

Although I do think they’re gonna do the Roman/Solo one on one match and Roman finally gets back the Ula Fala

Aint no way he's gonna go out in a 5 minute match. I aint talking long long but I think you can have it go a decent bit of time given their styles, do something hard hitting along the lines of a Gunther/Sheamus or something similar

I can give him 9 if the last minute is a sleeper spot and he doesn't concuss himself headbutting a door first

idk remember in 2016 when he came back? He was coming back just for that match with Brock and that was 86 seconds.

I had something similar in mind, like Goldberg's back going out from trying the jackhammer. Can either end it by pinfall afterwards, or if Goldberg wants to tap out / pass out.
