"Two of the best Brazilian lightweights in the UFC have verbally agreed to fight as Rafael Dos Anjos takes on Gleison Tibau at UFC 139," confirmed UFC president Dana White. The two black belts will war in San Jose this November.
Tibau has won his last two and 6 out of his last 8 overall, with his only losses coming to Jim Miller and Melvin Guillard (which was a controversial split-decision). His last bout against Rafaello Oliveira was particularly impressive, where he picked up the first bonus (submission of the night) of his 14-fight UFC career. Dos Anjos is coming of a 59-second knockout of George Sotiropoulos, which was undoubtedly the biggest win of his career. He has won 3 out of his last 4, with his only loss coming to Clay Guida. He was very competitive in the fight until his jaw was broken by a Guida punch.
