So you have a rookie, who doesn't even deserve to be in the same ring as Cena, Show, or Miz, walking out on the tag title match.

If a rookie with no experience doesn't care about the tag titles, why should anyone?

I don't care what his reasons were, there is nothing the WWE can come up with that would justify such booking. Sure, Batista did the same thing, but he is at least booked as if he is above the tag titles, being a multiple time world champion.

I'm really surprised there hasn't been an uproar about this. Any newcomer should be dying to win championship gold.

*Sigh* You don't care about the reasons because if you did then you would have no legs to your argument. The tag straps were not the focus here, David Otunga getting a giant rub by turning on Cena is the focus. You're totally over reacting and over analyzing, and at the very least you could have just put this in the tag thread that already exists. *Sigh*

It was pretty obvious BigMiz would retain the belts. The focus points here was for Otunga to come off as a mega heel and for Cena to get screwed by both Otunga and Batista. It was actually played through really well. Otunga was perfect last night. He definitely has a bright future.

Although I think Otunga and Cena would have made a badass tag team.

I agree that it doesn't make sense that he just gave up the oportunity of having the tag titles but I also agree that it was a good way to make him look like a decent heel. This doesn't make sense though unless this is the start of a gimmic for Otunga where he only cares about money and not titles, assuming they say that Batista payed him to do, but meh.

Otunga is garbage. He's being pushed because he's married to Jennifer Hudson? GTFO of here

lmao first part is a riot. Tag titles have been shit since the dudleyz were here. No one cares about the wwe tag team titles. I can't believe you see prestige in this title, no one has for the past decade

Way to sound like fucking Mike Tenay lol.

Like a few others have already said, the focus wasn't the tag titles but moreso to create heat for Otunga as well as further build the Cena/Batista feid. Both of which were nicely done, it was pretty obvious that ShowMiz was going to retain. It would have been interesting to see Cena/Otunga however what would they have called themselves?

Like XBA I also think that Otunga has a bright future in the WWE.

You actually think they are going to follow up on this?

I'm not overreacting. They made the tag titles look like shit, plain and simple. They could have easily done something like this without putting the titles on the line. I know why they did it, I just don't like how it was done. What are we to think when they try to use the tag straps to put over the Hart Dynasty? Yippie, they won the belts that some no name rookie didn't even care about.

Lastly, stop being so childish. There is no reason to put sighs in your response like it pains you to have to respond to such a moron.

Actually, there has been major focus on the tag titles for at least a year. Just because the WWE shit on them in the past, doesn't make it right to do so now.

:lmao no one is going to think that deeply into it dude. Thats like a fan thinking wrestling is fake because Cena lost to HHH but HHH lost to Taker who was beaten by Cena.

First off, that made my head hurt.

Second, thats whats wrong with wrestling fans nowadays. They don't try. Maybe if the fans put some more thought into things the WWE and certain other promotions would have to try harder to please them.

We have forgotten the purpose of championship belts and the WWE is letting us get away with it.

But we're talking about 7-12 yr olds as the major demographic of wrestling fans. All the WWE is focused on doing is making them cheer for the good guys and boo the bad guys as well as buy T-Shirts and shit. Honestly, I would be impressed if a 10 yr old kid sat there and said, "WWE should treat these titles better. How am I supposed to care about Hart Dynasty going after the tag titles if this rookie doesnt care about winning them?"

It's WWE. If the World Championship doesn't matter, what makes you think the tag titles matter?

That's my whole point. They SHOULD matter.

More focus needs to be put on the belts, and maybe when a young up and comer won a championship for the first time the fans would actually give two shits about him.

And Cena shouldn't be shitting all over the guy who just won the WHC, but that's another argument for another day.
