Giant 153kg Burger Comes With Fries

A US restaurant famous for cooking up giant hamburgers has outdone itself.

The Detroit News reports that Mallie's Sports Grill Bar has made a 153kg Absolutely Ridiculous Burger. A crowd gathered to salivate over the unveiling of the $US2,000 ($A1,938) menu item.

The sandwich packs 540,000 calories (2,260 kilojoules)and takes 22 hours to cook.

Manager Jason Jones says it comes with fries and a drink.

Over the years, Mallie's has drawn attention for cooking up monstrous burgers.

Crazy.

First of all this would take a couple of hundred people to eat the damn thing. Second this is really cheap considering how much meat is in there although that makes me think that it will be filled with poor quality meat. Finally this would taste DISGUSTING since it is cooked for 22 hours and so it will be boiled/steamed rather than properly grilled.

That is ridiculous, I can't imagine anyone who would enjoy eating that. Anyone i found a picture and it looks more disgusting than i thought.

Talk about solving world hunger, especially since a hamburger of that size could probably feed a small village... I usually find these news stories disgusting because it seems like everybody is trying to out due themselves, besides I think it's going a overboard with these massive food creations. On a side note, I'm not entirely sure what the demand is for a 540,000 calorie burger is but it must be in demand for public show.

Wow it looks really disgusting in that photo. Not sure why anyone would even consider ordering it, people should have better things to spend their money on.
