Jeff Hardy continues to prove that he is a drawing card for TNA Wrestling as preliminary estimates for the Genesis pay-per-view event he headlined on January 13 have the show drawing between 12,000 and 13,000 buys.

By comparison, many of last year's shows drew between 7,000 and 10,000 buys, with the upswing kicking off after Hardy become TNA World Heavyweight Champion in October.

At Genesis, Hardy beat Austin Aries and Bobby Roode in a Triple Threat Elimination match to retain the TNA World Heavyweight Championship.

If they go solely by the numbers, then he'll keep the belt a long time. What they don't realize is people like us tune in for his opponents.

Obviusly, anybody who's a real smark and knows a little somewhat about TNA and dirtsheets and Meltzer, KNOWS this is his "news report", so not confirmed, not legit, no source.

This guy has real guts to compare last years and this years numbers, even though TNA is privately held compan? And the company itself doesn't know the PPV buys until about 20-30 days after the PPV aires, but one big dirshiit fuck called Davey Meltzer "knows" those buys 15 days after the show, and nobody else does? Come on. Stop believing idiot's numbers, even if they're positive for TNA or negative for TNA. Idiot stays an idiot.

I know I don't give a fuck what he says about TNA or its "buys", + Dixie Carter herself confirmed these "reported" numbers aren't true.

Dave oh Dave.... Stop fooling these internet folks already.

She reported it's untrue? Can you post a source? If so, I can close this thread.

What, you don't trust me? :downer:

She did actually say the internet reports about TNA buys are untrue (and who else reports those? PWinsider? No. Prowrestling.net? No. Meltzer? Yes!). I believe it was a conference call in May of 2011 or 2012, really can't remember, all I know is I'll trust somewhat more to a president than some internite lolly.

Do what you want brotha, I rest my case 4ever about that fountain-of-wisdom-guy Meltzer.

Umm... wasn't the same Jeff Hardy in the main event of Genesis last year? Facing Bobby Roode?

So, does that meant the upswing of ticket sales was really because of Aries being in the ME?

True or untrue, I would've bought the PPV for the chance of seeing Hardy lose. If that's what they were going for, win.
