It’s been over five years since the Fugees performed together, but a reunion could be on the horizon. Jerry “Wondaâ€￾ Duplessis, who produced the majority of the tracks on the trio’s 1996 Grammy-winning album The Score, claims that it’s only a matter of time before Lauryn Hill, Wyclef Jean, and Pras Michel reignite the Fugees flame.

“I believe there will be a day when the Fugees get together, but everyone in the group’s gotta be ready,â€￾ he told Rap-Up.com. “The Fugees are definitely going to get back together. The time will come. You’ve gotta wait, man.â€￾

The Haitian musician even tried to jumpstart their reconciliation on April Fools’ Day. Last week, he pulled a prank on his Twitter followers by writing that a Fugees reunion tour was in the works. “BIG NEWS!!! What we’ve been waitin for!!!! @MsHillMvngTrgt @wyclef @prasmichel got offered $50 mill with @LiveNation!!â€￾ he tweeted.

As it turns out, the gag rippled further than expected. “In my studio, I was getting crazy phone calls and mad emails. My Twitter was going heavy. People all over the globe were saying, ‘Is it true? We really want the Fugees!’â€￾ he explained. “Lauryn was getting phone calls. Wyclef was getting phone calls. Pras was getting phone calls. I felt that if tickets had gone on sale, it would have been sold out in two hours—globally.â€￾
While the Fugees don’t have any plans etched in stone, Duplessis has his memories to fall back on. “I could tell you that the old days were lovely, and if I could go back again, I definitely would,â€￾ he said. “But it’s a whole new era for me right now.â€￾

Damn it so misleading this is just an assumption by him with no real ground on this happening even though it needs to.

Lauryn Hill Ready to Return to Music, Hints at Pregnancy

Lauryn Hill brought her “Moving Target: Extended Playdate Series” to Club NOKIA in downtown Los Angeles on Monday night (April 18). Dressed in baggy coat, long skirt, and headband, a bohemian Ms. Hill had fans wondering if she was carrying a child after wearing another oversized outfit during her appearance at Coachella this weekend.

She alluded to her possible pregnancy during the concert. “I keep having these children. I don’t know if I’m the most fertile woman in America,” said the former Fugee, who then performed “To Zion” written about her first born.

The hot topic was discussed again later in the evening. “I’ve got five big children, you believe that? If you ask anybody I went to high school with, they’d be like puzzled… Wait till you hear the big secret though.”

But that wasn’t the only surprise. L. Boogie also announced that she’s almost ready to make her long-awaited return to music. “As I get back up and start to do this again, make more music and present it to the people, I want you to know how much I appreciate your support, the fact that you’re still here,” she said. “You know my intention has always been to make music from my heart and to say something that means something not just to myself, but means something to you as well.”

She continued, “I’ma be honest. I give the floor to whoever deserves the floor. You don’t hear me making music for no reason. If I have something to say and I really mean something, that’s when it’s time to put something out. And it’s getting close to that time, don’t you think? As my Jamaican brethren say, soon come.”
