Throughout Ring of Honor’s rich, 14-year history, Women of Honor has consistently featured a global talent roster, mixing the best emerging and veteran athletes, aerial artists, and powerhouses. The list of alumni reads like a “Who’s Who” of women’s professional wrestling, including pioneers Sara Del Rey, Daizee Haze, and MsChif.
In July 2015, Women of Honor returned on a pilot basis in Baltimore. Through emails and social media, Honor Nation made its voice heard: the masses demanded more Women of Honor! “Women of Honor Wednedsday” featuring YouTube and Facebook exclusive matches have featured over twenty of the best women’s professional wrestlers in the world and the response has been overwhelming! Because of the success of “Women of Honor Wednesday”, four HUGE matches have been signed for Ring of Honor’s national television taping in Nashville, TN on February 6 at the Nashville Municipal Auditorium!
Already signed for the biggest night in Women of Honor history are 12 of the top female stars in the world! For the very first time, FOUR Women of Honor matches will be contested! In her biggest test yet, the undefeated Kelly Klein will face the House of Truth’s Taeler Hendrix with Truth Martini, who undoubtedly will be looking for revenge for the blows they exchanged in Philadelphia! ROH Dojo standout “The Exotic Goddess” Mandy Leon will look to continue her winning ways as she does battle with The SheWolf Hania the Huntress! Faye Jackson, making her professional wrestling debut, will face international wrestling star ODB! And, in a must-see six-woman match, Veda Scott and “Bullet Babe” Amber Gallows, who formed a mutual admiration after their bout in Atlanta, will team with Allysin Kay to face international veteran Sumi Sakai, the pin-up powerhouse Thunderkitty, and the downright unpredictable “Crazy” Mary Dobson!
The Women of Honor stars are aware of the significant of this GIGANTIC night of women’s professional wrestling. “Women of Honor already has the best talent in the world and there are so few spots for women across the sport. Why wouldn’t I want to be here? Until my best is THE best, I’m not going to stop,” Dobson told ROHWrestling.com
The bone-crushing Klein had this to say: “Everything we do sets the new standard for women's wrestling. Being the best in Women of Honor would mean that I alone am the new standard. I know that I am capable of setting that bench mark. I will go through every challenge and every obstacle in order to demonstrate that to the entire wrestling world."
Meanwhile, Hendrix relishes in the opportunity to take down the undefeated Klein to establish herself as the top Woman of Honor. “Kelly Klein? I am Women of Honor. But, make no mistake, I am a woman without honor. It is time to Hail Hendrix, Kelly.”
Nashville, TN is as historic as it gets for professional wrestling and February 6 will be no exception! In the same city that saw ROH make our live pay per view debut, the Women of Honor will make history in four HUGE matches for the Music City faithful!
