-- A former ECW World Heavyweight Champion is now working at a Target department store, and no, it's not Justin Credible. In a brief commentary on the official website of Shane Douglas, Douglas notes that he is currently in the manager training program at a Target store in New Brighton, PA. He's says that he misses performing in front of wrestling fans, but that he doesn't miss the wrestling "business." He also takes aim at two Pro Wrestling Torch writers for reporting that he was released from TNA earlier in the year for having a relapse. Douglas then says, "Sorry to say but the "sad" and "boring" truth is that I, Troy Martin, have had no relapse or taken any kind of drug or pill since my rehab last year." You can read Douglas' commentary at this link.

ROTF, LMFAS, This is some funny stuff. Shane was a big star in ECW and a he was pretty well involved with TNA be for being released

Why is this funny. He is training to become a manager. Its a decent living.

It pisses me off when people make fun of those who are trying to support themselves and their family by working hard.

The simple fact of the matter is that most wrestlers live "normal" lives after wrestling. You can't wrestle forever, and unless your name is HHH, Hogan, Austin, Rock, Cena etc you have to find work.

Yeah I got to agree with CenaMark...he may have been the franchise of ECW but ECW went under for a reason. TNA probably didn't pay him much better then what big retailers like Target or Wal-Mart pay there managers. So yeah he can't live the glamours life of a Hulk Hogan. Look how many people made big money deals and they still have to keep working even if it still in the wrestling buisness way part there prime just to make ends meet because they couldn't save even a penny of there big time pay cheque? At least he's not sitting on the streets with a cup begging for people to give him money, or whoring himself out to anyone who is willing to pay him a buck for an autograph. I was never a shane douglas fan, but I respect a man who obviously was able to walk away from the buisness and is trying to still live a life?

I mean seriously, how is this different then any of the Where are they now? stories on WWE.com? Most of those guys work normal jobs now too.

Yeah, I don't get what is so humorous about this. He's human just like everyone else, he has to put food on the table...just like everyone else. Wrestling never struck me as a glamorous buisiness, its something you give your heart and soul to to partake in it, but with minimal rewards. I'd expect after your career is over, that you live just as normally as everyone else.
