Ric Flair says he wants to wrestle again, and he's not just saying it; he sent text messages to WWE chairman Vince McMahon and WWE VP of Talent Relations John Laurinaitis offering to replace any of the injured top stars in WWE.

"I want to wrestle again," Flair told Alex Marvez in an interview earlier this week. "I watch (WWE) and I can still do better than 90 percent of the guys there."

Flair says he doesn't want to be limited to just signing autographs and doing promotional appearances when he feels like he's in great shape and could make a ton of money wrestling again.

"People in Europe are offering me a fortune," Flair said. "I'm tired of signing autographs. I can make more money wrestling."

Flair said he went so far to text Vince McMahon asking him why he wasn't included in the recent WWE Draft to Raw, Smackdown, or ECW. "He said I'm retired," said Flair about McMahon's response.

Flair acknowledges the special send-off he received at WrestleMania 24 when he retired, but the tone of the retirement was that Flair didn't feel like he was ready to leave the ring. Flair says he needs WWE's full blessing to return to the ring, but he's itching to return.

"I respect Shawn (Michaels) ... so much that I wouldn't do anything to disrespect them," Flair said. "They would have to give me full approval. They put me in a special place. I think it's going to be a long time before we see something come across again like what they did for me. I didn't think it would be that big a deal. We'll see how this turns out."

Flair should fuck off. He's not going to be in any main events, and the midcard should be for pushing young guys. Not to mention, he already got a great sendoff.
Also, lol @ him wondering why he wasn't in the draft.

I think is made up just because of this line. Not only is it not true, I don't think flair would say something like that?

And the draft thing....no. Unless there's a vid of this interview I don't believe it. It sounds too stupid to be real.

Lol, Flair would say that. I saw him say it in interviews back in the day, like 2006/7 and stuff. I recall an interview on something like CNN or something, where he said he's probably always have a job, because guys like him know what it takes.

NO NO NO NO NO!!:nonono: Flair needs to stay the f*** away from the ring! I was able to tolerate his appearance at WM25 because it was just on the outside, but after his fairytale ending last year coming out of retirement would piss all over the whole thing. I have always liked Flair, so I am not saying this out of hate. WM24 was so touching, and fitting for a great like Flair. He needs to put his pride away, and accept it with dignity. It would leave a bad taste in a lot of people's mouths, not mention he'd probably lose a lot of respect. Hell if I was Vince I'd pay him NOT to come back. If he REALLY wants to remain in the wrestling world he could always be behind the scenes like his buddies Arn, and Steamboat. That'd be ok...but wrestling would just not be good.

^Agreed. Maybe he could even be a GM. But in the ring should be a no.

I don't mind him at all and wouldn't mind seeing him come back, but not in the ring. I don't even mind his ring work. But if he did wrestle again, WM 24 will drop a lot in my book. That was a PERFECT sendoff. Just come back as a GM again or manager.

EDIT- fu

Fucking has been needs to stay away. People overrate him so much. Yes Flair vs Michaels was good but 90% of the time in his other matches it's knife chop after knife chop. Your still washed up Flair. Unless you want to manage your son stay away.

C'mon now, Flair had the ending every wrestler dreamed of having. If he comes back he'll blow everything that the WWE. Freaking learn to appreciate what he had already.

By all means bring him back in some capacity - Ya can't let all that knowledge, experience and enthusiasm go to waste - but as ANYTHING BUT a competetive wrestler....

@ Mike: 2006/2007 = Back in the day????? LOL ;o]

Like most of you already said, he can come back as a GM or a manager but not a full time wrestler. After the phenomenal send off he had just last year, to put that all to waste would be incredibly stupid
