What's the 1st EVER dvd/dvds you ever remember buying?

OR if you were too young when the 1st player came out, the 1st dvd someone bought FOR you. Also if you remember, post your 1st dvd player.

I'm guessing I was about 15 as I saved up from my 1st job to buy one. Which would have been 2002. I think they were out a couple years before this as we couldn't afford one, I remember it cost me like over $400 lol CRAZY

I'm pretty darn certain it was this one:

I remember the glow of the time display & how shiny it was, I was always trying not to scratch it. I was so proud as it was the most expensive thing I bought on my own & I thought the technology was so cool.

I had enough left over to buy a few dvds & it was around the time Goldmember came out so I bought it:

I remember being amazed at "Special Features" as those of us who grew up with Beta or VHS or without the Internet had never experienced this.

I remember the first wrestling dvd was Royal Rumble 2009

as for normal dvds..no freaking clue.

I think I was somewhere around 9 or 10 when my parents bought a DVD player. Don't exactly remember what the first DVDs they bought with it were, but it was nothing I wanted to watch.

First thing I remember getting that I wanted was the Star Wars original trilogy, which my uncle got for me.
