I watched Part One: 1994 and absolutely adored it. Right from the get go it nails that Scream 90's vibe with the killer opening, vast array of personalities and setting which is very reminiscent of Woodsboro. It's nice to see a slasher that actually tries to be entertaining for once, there is so many coming out these days that are just trash. It takes itself seriously in moments, but has a nice lighthearted touch to it throughout with interactions between the cast. It makes it so it isn't a slog to get through. Was a fan of how the cast bounced off each other, acting is good for this type of movie and the vibe is perfect. The colours of the movie were very appealing and vibrant to me, especially in the beginning. It basically just ticked all the boxes for me. Some people will no doubt label this as a Scream rip-off but it nails what it sets out to do, so I honestly don't get bothered by it. Like at all.

The opening in the mall was very Scream like and I think people will be happy with it. Maya Hawke is a cutie.

I would highly recommend this movie if you enjoy slashers or have been itching for something that will remind you of Scream. It made me very nostalgic and happy as a long time horror fan.

Just finished watching Part 2 - 1978. I preferred the first a little bit more, but I also really liked the direction of this one. It has a very Friday the 13th and Crystal Lake vibe with the Camp Nightwing setting which I liked. I really enjoyed Sadie Sink in Stranger Things so good to see her in the lead role. The characters are a lot more unlikable in this one, so it's a great set-up to see the slashing begin. This one takes a bit longer to kick in as Part 1 kicks off with a bang, but I didn't mind the slower burn. It led to a great middle and final act. It honestly feels like a great sequel that Friday 13th should have got.
