- Current FCW Heavyweight Champion Drew McIntyre worked the SmackDown/ECW live event last night in Chattanooga, TN, defeating Jimmy Wang Yang with a neckbreaker. Drew cut a promo before the match and brought up his Scottish roots. McIntyre debuted on the WWE SmackDown brand back in September of 2007 then moved to the RAW brand in early 2008 before being sent back to Tampa to train at developmental. Since going back, he has held the FCW Tag Titles and currently holds the FCW Heavyweight Title.

- As noted a few months back, former TNA wrestler Lance Hoyt had been signed to a WWE developmental deal. I could be wrong but I think his first match in developmental was this past Thursday night where he teamed with Drew McIntyre and Alex Riley to lose to Sheamus O’Shaunessy, Tyler Reks and Johnny Prime in a match that had Survivor Series rules. Hoyt was the first man eliminated.

Other names who have been in the news lately and worked the FCW event Thursday night include Chris “The Bambikiller”, who lost to Eric Escobar and Mexican star Sicodelico Jr., who lost to Ezekiel Jackson. MIA ECW star DJ Gabriel also worked the show, picking up a win in the opener against Jon Cutler.
