Far Cry 4 - Not So Open World?

Far Cry 4 looks beautiful. I would have liked them to expand just a bit on the far cry 3 map, but oh well. If they really make up for it with the random events, then it won't really be too much of an issue for me.
Hopefully that does happen, I tend to like the story to continue onto other scenarios so if that is the case this will be a game worth buying, I've never really played the Far Cry series but if it has that never ending story feel through-out the entire game then maybe Far Cry 4 will be worth the buy.
